  • 1976 Corvette Stingray inspection for a buyer in Texas. The car was located in NE Ocala, so I drove out there to have a look.
    Great car with tons of extras.
    The car was advertised in the Corvette Forum so I inspected it for the buyer who was thinking about making the purchase sight-unseen, something that can be tricky and a potential can of worms.
    Fortunately, the Vette was in awesome shape, well taken care of, and it had a ton of improvements which-in this case-added to the value of the vehicle.
    The seller had even sprayed a special sound and heat-reducing product on the underside of the car, something that any C3 Corvette owner would appreciate.
    Unfortunately, I lost the undercarriage video.
    Thank you for watching! 🙂👍🏻

    Total after market parts bin ride on a C3 body. In other words a restomod C3. Prefer originality over this but hey everyone has their own take on what they like. Exterior color was a great look for those years so glad they at least kept that true. Hope new owner enjoys the car and drives it!

    I couldn’t understand what he said about the steering wheel. Did he say what it was, where he sourced it?

    • @76vette
      @76vette  10 месяцев назад +2

      He was saying test he had to spend over $100 for an installation kit. No idea where he bought it or what type of steering wheel it was.
      Anyway, that video is 3+ years old so a 76 Vette steering wheel conversion kit costs almost $300 today. www.southerncarparts.com/steering-column-conversion-kit-for-1976-corvette.html but it allows you to use pretty much any steering wheel you want.

    I love the design of the 70's Corvette. But the drop in hp really neutered the Corvette performance. This car is a really good looking car.

    What backspacing and (spacers if any) are used on the rear 18x10's? They look pretty shallow to have the proper offset for use without a spacer. Thanks.

      Hi there. Not my car and not sure if that’s a Vintage Air system but you may want to check with them, or call Summit Racing as they are quite knowledgeable and may have what you need. 😊👍🏻

    Are those LED or HID headlights? I need those for mine!

    • @76vette
      @76vette  2 года назад +2

      I’m pretty sure Barry installed LEDs. And he deleted the vacuum actuators and installed electric motors. That car was pretty amazing considering all the stuff done to it. I believe it’s in Texas now.

      I only know what he said in the video about wheel size: 18 x 8.5 front, 18 x 10 rear. No idea what size tires the car had. Sorry.
