Very nice Graham, the slow-mo adds a new dimension to your art, I look forward to your next visit video ! As you know I have always enjoyed your work, this camera takes it to a new level.
Thank you so much for sharing this great informative camera test tutorial video, congratulations! Very nice video creation with fantastically beautiful birds!Very great background music! Have a nice day and strength, health, peace to everyone! I wish you good luck! 👍🍀🇭🇺🌞☝️
Yes it's a handy feature but you have to set the focus and zoom before you start recording and the steady shot is disabled but it's still a very handy film making effect, thanks for commenting:)
Hi Graham - Nice video. Your bird photos are very clear. How did you accomplish this? What camera settings did you use to shoot the birds at the 1:37, 1:42, 1:582:10, 2:14, 2:38. and 2:51 mark, and how far away were you from the subjects? Did you zoom in? What settings do you recommend to capture the birds in motion at 1:46 mark? Did you shoot in the High Speed Video Mode at 2:20? Thanks.
It's been quite a while since I shot the video but I still use and rate highly my FZ1000. As far as I can recall I used the freeze animal action setting in the scene menu but obviously the higher shutter speed you can use without generating noise is ideal for birds and I used the high speed video setting for the slow-mo at 100 fps.
Hi Graham after viewing your last video I also went out and brought the FZ1000 camera just arrived so hopefully will get out and use it over the weekend if the weather is ok,also having watched this video will have to try the slow motion and intelligent zoom, but think I will have to read the manual first, really appreciate your video's.Regards your RUclips friend Keith.
Hi Keith thanks for your kind comment about the murmuration film, I deleted it just as you commented because there was a glitch so I have uploaded it again, thanks again:)
Lovely stills Graham and great slow motion. If you ever get the chance I'd love to see some slow motion clips of the antics of goldfinches at the feeders.
I've found battery life is pretty good but you'd want more for a whole day, also you can get an adaptor that slots into the battery compartment so you can connect to mains power where possible.
No, in PAL areas it records at 100 fps and in NTSC areas it records at 120 fps. When it first came out there were reports that it recorded at 200 or 240 fps in 720 p hd but it doesn't.
Love birds and your photos are brilliant!👌
Thank you:-)

Some nice stills, and I'm liking the look of the slo-mo. Looking forward to trying the slo-mo on my camcorder on some birds as well.

It's a great camera Keith, there are so many features on it it's going to take quite awhile to discover everything it's capable of, enjoy:)

Hi can you talk about battery life of fz1000? Can It handle whole day of random shooting with 1 battery? Or I need some spare ones?
I've found battery life is pretty good but you'd want more for a whole day, also you can get an adaptor that slots into the battery compartment so you can connect to mains power where possible.
Do you mean dummy battery that connects with power charger?Does it have compartment for that?
Yes, where the battery goes

Will Fz1000 shoot at 240fps?
