I worked at a small 1000 watt am radio station as a 14 year old kid. Record companies would send all kind of records to us, this is how I came to know the blues. I worked all day sunday when nothing but church was on, sometime live in the studio. I would have headphones on with Mr Musselwhite playing in my ear. The church people looked at me thinking the holy spirit was in me, but it was just Mr Musselwhite blowing the blues. This was back in 71 small town Ala never will I forget those days
Blues when you really need it. Charlie's "Tennessee Woman" has the long version with the legendary Robben Ford on guitar, and Skip Rose on piano. Used to indulge heavily while listening to this cut.
