    I can't even remember what my opponents first Pokémon was most of the time. I gotta remember how much energy it has too?!

      Same with me, but I know that if I want to be a better battler, I should learn to remember the opposing pokemon and its energy as well.

      I struggle to remember the first pokemon sometimes. But sometimes I can remember.
      Is there a way to level up myself so my brain can remember easier?

    I came here b/c I finally give every care in the world I have to count fast moves but now since the update from the beginning of the Max Out season, I highly urge you or another content creator to go over move counts again since we had a major flip on the meta. 🙏🏻

    A tip for counting 1 turn fast moves is to count your own fast move instead.
    If you're throwing mud shots against a Regi, you know that 1 mud shot = 2 lock ons.
    (Stolen from Battle Bill)
    Also, you touched on this briefly, but I absolutely use my own charge moves to tell when my opponent is at a move, especially in limited cups.
    For example, in the electric cup, I know that an enemy lanturn with water gun gets to a surf right as my Dedenne gets to a play rough. This is somewhat less effective in open metas, but in these niche cups, it really helps me.

    Maybe you could consider poki daxi. I didn’t have high hopes for him hitting expert and legend for the first time this current season but his hard work and dedication paid off. He could offer a fresh take considering this was his first legend

    I recently got into pvp and counting and i found a good way to count moves (of the same turn, like mudshot vs counter) is through your own fast moves. Like if you know you have to do 8 counter for psychic you also know where your opponent is on energy. This might not be ideal for late game but it works fine for me so far. Also the 1 turn moves you can count through your fast moves as well, where 1 counter (2turn) = 2 dragon breaths (1turn) so if you go to 6 counters you know the db user is at 12.

    From a bad or average at best PvP player, with a little experience, I "count" helping with my own pokemons. After a few tries, I see for instance in a Medicham vs a Swampert (or any other relevant pokemon) when they'll throw according do how energy I have. Is it when I reach half, almost my Ice Punch, etc. And I learn by experience then. Since I don't PvP often, I tend to forget, but that's another question. That tends to explain maybe the "feeling" that you have said to have.
    I think, that my next step would be to actually count the moves and move optimization (2T vs 3T etc.), but I don't want to invest too much energy/time in that.
    Maybe a video later on each step of a PvP player to help know what's the next step that could improve their play, ie from "noob to pro" guide:
    - Random Teams
    - Baits
    - Balanced teams & attacks
    - Starting having the feeling on counts for energy
    - Optimize when to charge move (2T vs 3T)
    etc...
    Find your own level, and check what's your next improvement goal, with the idea of having a good team and keep it to help the user know its team (how it works, as you said in a previous video) is a good advice.

    Some players over charge so you don't know which charge move is coming. Also, some switch out with energy so they can come back and fire a charge move right away. Already, that's a lot to keep track of for beginners, and were barely scratching the surface. Types, weaknesses, safe swaps, that's why I struggle even getting to level 20.

    So I mostly run mons with 2T fast moves and how I count is against my moves. So if I'm leading a Mantine and facing a Typhlosion knowing that reaches Thunder punch after 2 incinerates which is 10 turns, i just convert that in terms of my fast move count. So I know he reaches Thunder punch when I'm reaching my first Aerial ace. I have the higher chance to lose CMP, so I switch after 4 fast moves as it gives up only 2 turns of free energy. Or sometimes I stay, use a shield and go for water pulse and then switch.

    That whyyy, i used to just open 3 windows of pvpoke on my computer and a sheet i write with the typing of my mons and its charge moves to know what its superffective, whats resisted , etc,( just restarted playing for 4 months now), and see the more efficient moves the pokemon usually haves, the turns to get to it and i used to get so mad because i was sure i was counting and they got to a second or third move sooner than they should, thanks a lot, now i will get this graphic on the screen too c:

    Yo dan I have a question hopefully you can help or someone. So lets say you and your opponent get to a charged move at the same time and it come down to tie. They throw their move and I selected to throw mines. After they are finished with their charged move its my turn and the game go directly into my charged move without a choice while going into mines my opponent swapped Pokemon and the move is thrown on their switch. Why does that happen? Doesn’t seem logical to me why your able to throw a move and switch even though you had a tie on charged move.

    The other way to learn moves is when you think Azu is 6,6,6 to play rough and you lose a game because you thought you had one more turn to through your return.
    Won't happen again.

    Thanks for this video! Could you please make one on how to recognize the opponents fast moves by animations? I mean there are some obvious ones like Incinerate or Lock on, but I use to struggle recognizing them at first sight. My method is to watch the damage it makes on my Pokémon but I know that's not the best solution.

    Can someone explain to me why swampert i just faught had hydro cannon like seven times in a short game and never had much screen time and my game crashed as soon as the match ended when i lost ? Am i crazy or is this a cheater? I have faught swampert alot and never got that messed up? Every mon i had got hit once or twice with it and the last sec without charging he had another hydro cannon. Does anyone know if people are disguising strong mons behind they're cheat programs? My app literally disappeared when he won and had to be reloaded?? Does this happen to anyone else? It doesn't do that often maybe 7 times in 3 months but thtas gotta be a cheat to crash your game after cheating you? Im serious i need info on the subject because i need help identifying cheaters so i can report them appropriately

    I do what i call
    "The Rule of 10"
    Ive noticed most meta Pokemon can reach a charge move within 10 turns. So if youre trying to count, and aren't quite sure of when to catch. 10 turns us usually a safe bet.

  • @TheRealMrAndrew
    @TheRealMrAndrew Год назад

    And this is a big part of the problem with GBL: you have to know the most common move sets of 100 mon and the counts for 200 moves. This is why ELO must be eliminated in favor of win based rankings.

  • @heavychef247
    @heavychef247 Год назад

    This is too theoretical. You need to show this in practice. I don’t even see what a move is on the battlefield.
