As somebody who loves their steam deck but also has zero knowledge of pc gaming or optimization, this is legitimately the most helpful thing that I could have asked for. Subbed and very grateful for your effort!
Just found out about this channel from a reddit thread about the best settings to performance on RE4 Remake on the steam deck and was recommended your channel! Subbed, keep it up! :)
I play this between my rtx 3080ti pc and Steam deck and I am surprised how good this looks on steam deck and actually prefer playing on steam deck more 😀 great settings as usual!
Just watched several of your videos and I must say I love the delivery. I just got my steam deck this morning and your channel will make this former pc gamer’s transition back into the pc world much, much easier. You guys rock! You’ve earned my subscription. Thanks brother
That is so kind for you to say! Thank you! I’m thrilled that we could help you transition back into PC gaming in a positive way! Thank you for the support brother 🙏🏼
Thank you for this! I was worried cause I saw some people on Reddit saying it was “unplayable” on the deck which made me worry I should’ve brought it on my PlayStation instead. (I just really love being able to play re4 handheld)
@@pixeldeckgaming Thank ya, lemme know if you find anything. I’ll also keep an eye out as the game gets updated. I’m sure they’re probably gonna keep improving the deck support for it since mostly all the previous RE titles run on it very well
A quick update on today and it’s someone that couldn’t play the game very well. Your settings helped me o lot but you can play it in 60’frames and there will be no problem
@@ackers33 I'm currently playing with FSR 2 performance, everything lowest except "texture, texture filtering, volumetric lightning, bloom, lens flare, motion blur" and it's at locked 40fps. Yeah it's very good, same setting with my 1650ti laptop.
This is great, but unfortunately setting the UMA to 1 makes it so the deck doesn't display on the official dock for some reason. Otherwise, the game is a lot more stable now! Cheers! If we can somehow get it bumped up to a stable 40 that would be perfect! Hopefully there will be further optimizations soon.
@@pixeldeckgaming But I'm using CryoUtilities 2.0, and in your description it says to set it to 1 if I'm using CryoUtilities. Unless I am misunderstanding, in which case I apologies. Regardless, I played 8 hours yesterday with a significantly better experience. So thank you again!
Came to the comments for this reason as well. Video description says UMA 1GB which contradicts the video saying 2GB so I'm glad to see someone else was wondering that as well
hi, just a few questions would like to ask: 1) I personally like motion blur when playing at 30 fps, is there a recommendation for which setting to lower? 2) does steam deck can't handle high texture for this game? it has pretty much vram.
No hotter than any other AAA game. The temperatures really aren’t an issue with normal use. We would not be playing outside in 110 degree weather but that’s not the case here.

@@pixeldeckgaming even the menu is making the stuttering noise and also have massive dips in frames. Capcom need to fix this fast otherwise I'm refunding this game and buying something else
If you don’t know then you don’t need to worry. I would assume you are already running stock settings. Swappiness is how your system allocates resource load between the GPU and the CPU. If you don’t have CryoUtilities then you are fine 🙂
Is anyone still able to even play for more than 5 minutes without the game crashing on them? Last game updates have completely ruined the game for me...
I got mine yesterday and every graphics intensive game kept crashing, including this one. After I set it to manual gpu clock , and speed to 1600, it didnt crash anymore, and I’m playing in the castle area. Also I’ve been tinkering with graphics settings while looking at the gpu, cpu % and found a nice balance that I’m comfortable with.
@@sheldon_lo Hopefully. It may be a different issue because everyone is having problems with this game. It seems to be cloud errors that happen because of their anti-cheat and not due to hardware or how much GPU you have. Hope I'm wrong in your case though.
