Sir ji dono haath jodkr thanku is vedio k liye jo aaj tak kisi vedio m nhi mila isme mila na jane kitne vedio dekhe isko kehte super se uppar thans guruji
Thumb rule- in same section of the road use the same gear while going up or going down. In a very steep inclination if you have to use 1st gear while going up, use 1st gear only while going down. Never use one gear higher while going down. Your mileage will be low while going up & it will compensate while going down... But remember as he said -" never ever use neutral".... That could be fatal.. one last point - engine braking will create lots of noise and rpm will become very high. But don't worry. This will not damage your car.. At such high rpm(while coming down) you need not to press clutch while pressing brake(unless you come to zero speed) bcoz there is no chance of engine stalling at such high rpm. If you think speed is increasing too much going down hill, put to 1st gear(when you are not confident about downhill driving).. Don't worry about the noise..
Shift to lower gear before uphills.. And when uphill traffic use only first gear. And whn ur going downhill give side to opposite vehicle. And both cases uphill/downhill stay on same gear which gear u came up same gear for downhill suppose if u came on 1st gear uphill u have to use only n only 1st gear for downhil n if u came on 2nd then 2nd and so on...Your vehicle stays in control.. Never ever switch to neutral during downhill.
The logic behind staying on a same gear for both uphill and downhill is pretty lame in my opinion. Obviously for uphill you would require extra torque hence we can rule kut gears 4,5 and 6. However, while going downhill you can atmost slot till 4th gear and 5 and 6 are not usually recommended. Depending upon number of lanes and traffic you can also move uphill in 4th gear if the incline is not much steeper, if you have ample momentum to pull the car upwards and if the road is a multi laned one devoid of much traffic.
@@jyotishsengupta1466 no the logic is not lame. A car with weak engine or low torque/weight ratio like my i20 can't go up beyond 2nd gear. Its a heavy car and engine is not that powerful. For the exact same reason, it can't give enough engine braking as well. A powerful engine gives more engine braking than a weak engine. Bcoz when gravity is pulling the engine, a bigger engine will give more resistance.. so by putting the car in lower gear, you are helping the engine to give more resistance against the gravitational pull. If you drive at higher gear, you will have to use more brakes which will eventually heat up the brakes and there will be a high probability of brake failure while going down hill. Be cautious.I know many such instances when drivers from plains heat up the brakes & damage it beyond repair. This can result in accidents as well. N.B- I have enough first hand experience on hills to give this statement..
That was a very nice short and to the point guidance for beginners like me... I have just bought Ford Freestyle Flair Limited Edition in Diwali... The way leading to my house is incline and decline Thx bruh

Sir, in case of uphill drive we should not use AC in the car, instead of it, use Air blower only so that if we feel underpowered definitely we get strong power, and thereby we avoided overheating and less load on car engine. I use this trick in the car.
@@tinman9193 It doesn't matter realy, in case of a moderate uphill the car itself will pull in 2nd gear atleast while a steep uphill would require 1st gear with or without the ac
Biggest mistake here is that the foot was placed continuously on the clutch pedal, it results in wear and tear to the clutch especially in the hilly areas. (From UTTARAKHAND )
@@AmaanYousuf no... even if you are not pressing it, as long as the foot is resting on clutch the engine will be wear down continuously due to slight friction. it is best to rest your foot at one side when the clutch is not needed.

Yes that's right.. With AC on its hard to pull if the inclination is too much

Is it alright if foot is just on the clutch but not pressing it?
