    This video was so informational. Please make more of these comparison videos with an emphasis on quality. That's really the differentiating factor. So many channels make comparison videos with no mention of how the product holds up over time after washing and wearing. This is exactly what I need!!! Would love to see one for denim, leather boots or loafers, slip-on sneakers, and merino wool.

      Unfortunately, since most channels have to have a constant stream of reviews/new products the durability of a garment is rarely mentioned.
      Which is sad since durability is the Achilles Heel of cashmere.

    I just want to clarify washing process of Loro Piana sweater (I own multiple of them). 1) Use LP shampoo. 2) Put the sweater into the protection bag (I use for many years Wolford laundry bags & can recommend them). 3) Always use the “Wool/Handwash” program. I don’t understand how she didn’t notice that she has one…. 4) After washing always reshape the sweater & lay flat for drying.
    Maybe next time you will include Gabriela Hearst knitwear (especially her cashmere/silk light sweaters) - they are amazing too!
    Great video! Greetings from Germany!

    Would be nice to revisit these in a year and see how each of them are holding up. A lot of the cheap/mid-level cashmere does not hold up very well with regular wear.
    My understanding is that the most durable cashmere tends to be (relatively) uncomfortable out of the box and breaks in.

    My favorite is one that is good to the animals. They are priority over anything for me. Glad that one was the best pick overall. Can't wait to get one. I hope they do recycled cashmere in the future or have a bigger market of preloved sweaters. I use my cashmere everyday in winter. Piling is the problem. I find it needs to be washed less often which is nice. Another point for sustainability. It doesn't trap any smells especially if you wear layers. Thanks for the helpful video :)

    Thank you for testing it! I just got the Joslyn by Naked Cashmere. I've been dreaming of a soft and slightly oversized cashmere sweater for many years! I got $65 off today too! What size was yours? I got a small and I'm a size 6 because it looks so oversized.

    • @FairyRosee_
      @FairyRosee_ 13 часов назад

      A year of wearing: It's SO warm, so tightly woven and flat and smooth. There's nothing I own that looks like it. I got a rich orange/yellow color that no other brand sells. It pills every couple months, but a quick sweater shaver does the job.
      The sleeves are perfect! It's my favorite item of clothing! I don't need a coat if I layer well under it. Thank you so much for doing this test! I would have never heard of this brand otherwise!
      I have skin sensitivity issues and EVERYTHING is itchy to me, but this sweater isn't. It's super soft. The tag is on the back of the neck, but even that isn't itchy.
      i think I could pass this sweater down. It retains it's shape and does not snag!

    This was recommended to me in my feed and I’m so glad. Great review! I have two of the Nadaam sweaters and really love them but my cashmere experience is definitely limited. I find they pill easily in the armpit area (i’m bigger so a lot more friction there) but have so far held up well. Definitely going to eye Everlane and Naked for the future

      I have the exact everlane sweater shown and have had it for a couple years. It’s nice quality and holding up well but a couple things… it isn’t too soft but very warm. So I find myself wearing only on very cold days where I’d have a base layer on. I wash it on delicate in a lingerie bag with the laundress cashmere shampoo and air dry laying flat. I find that it has gotten softer from this method. I also have a cashmere sweater from free people 3 years ago and it’s awesome and only $100-$150 but I’ve heard they aren’t as good anymore and are very thin. Bummer! I’m looking try nadaam cause why not! I’ve also heard N Peal is nice.

    I looooooooove cashmere, but since I moved from the UK to SE Asia, there haven’t been many opportunities to wear them, maybe once or twice a year in the region where I live, as I doesn’t usually get colder than 9-10 degrees. So, now I have other home items in cashmere, like cushion covers, pillowcases etc. I also have soft toys custom knitted in pure cashmere, just to satisfy my inner craving for cashmere hahaha.

  • @najmakhalil5257
    @najmakhalil5257 2 года назад +22

    Okay right off the bat you mentioned cashmere fiber comes from goats that live in harsh climates like China, Mongolia and Iran AND ALSO KASHMIR. The word cashmere comes from "Kashmiri" goat. Kashmiri means from the region of Kashmir. You neglected to mention where it even originated.

    Fun to see such an in depth test. So thumbs up. Just a FYI, you're supposed to remove the metal brand tag. It just for when in stores :) The same goes for many luxury items like jackets, shirts etc, remove the tag when you've decided to keep it and is not intended to stay on.

    Also, for high quality cashmere, it is better use a washer whose container set vertical rather than near horizontal angle.

      The low end companies have become very good at hiding their lack of quality. So much so, it's hard to tell the difference between a $100 and a $1000 sweater side by side.
      With more expensive cashmere, you're paying a lot for the durability of the knit. Ironically enough, due to the cost you're less likely to wear the expensive knit compared to the cheap one.
