- In this oil painting tutorial I'll show you a step by step easy landscape of a colorful tropical sunset with beautiful stars. You can use these same colors with acrylic paint, just substiture water instead of medium and make sure to blend faster because acrylic as a fast-drying paint.

I have always been an artist. I don't think I remember a time when a pencil wasn't in my hand. after about 15 years, I found your videos and was inspired to learn how to paint. i follow you every week and I appreciate the lessons you give so much. :) I was wondering if you could maybe slow down some of your videos at some point so we could see how your dabbing the brush on the paper? you know, to see how your creating the texture and which brush strokes you're using to blend the colors? if you can't, i understand, but if you do, it would make a world of a difference for me. thank you again for all that you do and inspire. ^.^
This was my very first oil painting! It took me probably way longer than it should have, but it was fun! 😁 I'm actually pretty happy with how it came out. But I'll definitely try it a few more times because it can improve. Great tutorial! :)

Your stars are great.. i have been doing pirate ships over the ocean. If i can get that glow on the stars like yours and add them in the water as reflections it will really improve them.. thanks for the tips 😊

Hi! I love your videos and I'm just starting to get into oil painting and I really want to ask you what the best way to clean brushes is??? I'm using turpentine right now, but it's stressing me out big time. Is there something harmless I can use that doesn't smell like hell?
Petra Toneva Try Gamsol! It's not harmless, but it doesn't smell horrible.
Petra Toneva use baby oil!!! or vegetable oil. it cleans amazing and it's non toxic and will keep brushes moisturized. also after wash with soap and water. and voila! clean brushes....you could also use walnut oil or linseed oil to clean brushes and as a medium. again, better than gamsol and turpentine, because those can be toxic even if one doesn't have a smell
