  • June 16, 2012, Gustavo Dudamel's tenure as Music Director of Gothenburg Symphony ended and his new title is Honorary Conductor. This is his transition speech and the final of Mahler's 2:nd symphony "Resurrection".

      I agree. when I was watching excerpts from rehearsals with him and he told the orchestra at which bar number to start I went like "what?! he has it in his head?" such an inspiration.

    My admired Dudamel said the real truth. Art is a human rigth, painting, drawing and making handcrafts. I work everyday to figth for this rigth. to help people to free all the wrong learnings. Everybody can and need to express himself with the beautifull way of comunication. ART

    Mon chef d'orchestre préféré! Plays and conducts through his talent and passion. A musical genious indeed. Please return to the National Arts Centre in Ottawa Canada - you have been away too long.

      Enfin...un début de commentaire en...français!...C'est aussi mon chef d'orchestre (actuel) préféré...il me rappelle Célibidace...et j'ai eu la chance de le voir l'an dernier à "la grange au lac" à Evian, diriger laVIIème de beethoven et un Concerto pour violoncelle de Chostakovitch....Un très grand moment!...

    Grandissimo Dudamel dice parole suggestive ... L'Arte è una struttura umana che crea lavora ogni giorno per aiutare le persone a crescere. Tutti possono e devono esprimersi con il bellissimo modo di comunicare Arte... Meraviglioso!

    what a uninspiring finish to the symphony. Dudamel conducts this as if he's never even looked at the score. And what's wiwith the lame left hand?! is he crippled or something??
