Reportedly Grace wrote this song at the age of 13 in less than 30 minutes at the end of a studio recording session when there was still some time left for the session. Grace had come from nowhere the year before to post a viral audition for America's Got Talent that had easily more than a hundred million views on RUclips and other social media platforms. During this year her world changed completely. And some of that new world was frightening. Grace was thrown into the deep end kept unbelievably busy for that entire year writing, recording and performing music together with public appearances and interviews. This all happened in 2016 and 2017. Grace kept pretty busy until the pandemic hit and put the brakes on her career. She took advantage of the situation to take a breather and slow down the pace of her life. Since then she has continued but at a more sustainable pace for her mental and emotional health.
If you want to cry happy tears, look up "The Story of Lucy." On its face, its a Windex commercial, but the music is Graces " Beautiful Thing," the perfect love song about the purest kind if love.
It has a child like quality because she is a child here.. she's 14. She's 20 now and all her fans are waiting for her career to finally take off.. this is her latest video just released and she has another one coming out soon and another album coming in the new year. I don't think her recording company has handled her career very well but she's with a new label so hopefully we'll see more of her in the future.
