Grandmaster Lin Dongzhu is grandson of famous Grandmaster Lin Jingshan.
In 2008, the Chinese government recognized GM Lin Dongzhu's Qixing Tanglangquan style as "Orthodox" and "Inviolable Cultural Heritage of the Chinese Nation" as part of the Gongfu Traditional Styles Conservation Program.
