Happy Friday! We are in Lebanon Tennessee for The Redneck Rumble! Come on out and visit us! If the WiFi is strong we will go Live tomorrow to bring the show to you! Have a good weekend! ~ The Roussels 👽👽
I’ll be watching can’t wait to see it too old to be able to go to those kind of shows but you make me feel young again back when I was in the body shop thank you
Say high to "rat rod bob builds" for me
@@unusualpodcastlove rat rod Bob!
Happy Friday folks - very cool video as usual.
Once again I have frustration because I subscribe again and you tube unsubscribes me and so on and so on.
I feel it’s unfair to us who subscribe and to you who look to see how many subscribers you have.
Sorry but feeling a bit of big brother happening. Didn’t used to be this way but sure glad you keep posting - Rock solid
There is a rattlesnake round up not far from me this weekend. You would love it.
Best show on RUclips. Hands down. Thanks Jamie and Ian. I think everyone should watch you both and the projects you work on.
Appreciate that! We really enjoy creating the content together and Ian is enjoying slowing the car building process down to share with all of you!
@@fullcustomIan you two ROCK...from australia. 5 star content
🌶😎
All the machines and equipment in the world can’t replace Ian’s hands and vision! 👍🏼👍🏼🥰
Jamie does an excellent job editing, selecting music and production. Ian, give Jamie a big pay raise!🥳
I never get tired of watching Ian cut, shape and form the sheet metal to fit his vision. Truly amazing. I’m also fascinated by the various sheet metal forming tools. Thanks for creating these great videos.
It's an honor to watch a legend at work! And recorded in a brilliantly produced video.
Mr Gene Winfield's birthday is today, June 16th. Turning 97 years young, landed on Father's Day this year, pretty cool. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Mr. Winfield.
I was jonesing for a little Full Custom Ian, as I brought up RUclips I said come on, please. And you appeared on my feed. Thank you both.
Yes always looking for the next show!!!
Ian is teaching class on how to fabricate using tools that most of us have or could buy without spending a fortune..have fun in Tennessee
That’s what I was thinking, even if I don’t fabricate a wild looking car like this Caddy-whack project, with a few select tools around the garage I should be able to fit some repair panels into a project
Great job, so cool to see you always learning new things. You guys need some solar panels, get all the power you need in the desert!!
I will now forever think about metal shrinking as "the reach around". Thanks for that!
Gives a new meaning to the term special tool 🤣🤣
I love how Jamie adores you Ian. You can tell by the way she laughs at you and with you... and the way she admires and talks to you. Your interaction is refreshing to watch.
Hey Ian & Jamie, Big fan of your work and the channel. Just a quick note, As a lifelong electrician (I'm 60 now), 90 amps is sufficient to run everything on the compound with AC. I have run my home and shop with welder and air compressor on 60 amp service for almost 20 years, ( I just upgraded to 200 amp service last year, selling the house.). This includes hot water, dishwasher, clothes washer and dryer, two separate AC units for central air in the house and one big window unit for the shop, plus everything to needed to run a family of 8 people. Other stuff like 5 xboxes, 6 tv's, 3 alexa's, 11 computers including 3 servers, high speed internet and more (think kitchen). You're goal is to balance the load between each leg in the panel to within 5% of each other by splitting or adding circuits to keep the panel balanced. Ohms law and some math is your friend here. Its tidy and you make full use of your service. Balancing your panel also lowers your electric bill a bit too. I'm sure others on the channel will comment on this but thought this might help. Always look forward to your weekly vids.
100% a mad scientist does NOT put things away immediately after completing a task👍
The creativity genes override ( clean up OCD)
Hi Jamie and Ian ! Jamie your video work is always stellar....there is so much more to it than just standing there with a camera. You make us feel that we are right there beside Ian as he works his magic with metal ! Ian I'm so very ,very impressed at how quickly you are picking up all the ins and outs of the English wheel art....and I don't use the term Art lightly. It is a skill using motion , pressure , speed , and direction....you Sir are an artisan in your craft ! All the Best !
Good morning guys! Good to see you. I love spaceballs and I wish we were friends.
Morning! Space Balls is a VIBE!
I've learned a lot in your last few "english wheel" episodes. Thanks!
You are welcome!
IAN, I noticed you use light refraction to help you determine shape .The dentless remover guys do the same thing.they have a 4 wheeled cart that has an adjustable arm that holds a 4 lamp 24" wide fluorescent lamp .you can move and adjust the lamp vertically or horizontally to create the needed light . They cut cardboard shades about 11/2" wide x 24"'s to diffuse the lite over each bulb . The soft white light lit up the metal they were working on. I was allowed to watch them take out 8 or 9 dents viciously put in my Harley front fender . Perfect no painting required! He then went over the Burgundy metallic with a hair dryer because he claimed the mettalic chips " stand up" when dented !
Ian, Hello this is my first time checking in on your website please forgive me for that, I have been watching you for a good while now, and you are not short of amazing, the dance you and Victor do are so much fun to see on how it unfolds. The automobile you had the factory put together was perfect. The Packard you made for your friend Tom was Keen, Keep up the good work I am really happy to see you have a personal fan club that understands the basics of car building and has room for growth.
Jamie you do the best editing
work of any videos I’ve ever seen or heard !
You are what makes all that beating and welding noise tolerable .Thank
You for your professionalism
and good taste in music.👍👍
Wow, thanks! I really try!
Have a nice weekend folks . Thanks for the video
I really like watching you do your magic. At first I was shocked as to why you were cutting the caddy up, but the car is going to be spectacular!!!
Keep up the great work...
You are very lucky to have such a great partner!!!
thank you for the upload guys, great content as always 👍
Our pleasure!
I feel your pain, we're supposed to hit 110 today here in Yuma. Looks like the fab guy is having fun learning his new, old tools. You have a great day.
Great to see you guys having fun while you work
That hammer is so cool love how when you start banging on the metal that it plays music and when you stop the music stops.
TV crew! Love how you knock down the volume for the hammer blows and leave the voice up around it. Very watchable! This is much better work than most audio engineering. "Everybody" seems to always have the driving rock music interstitials way too hot. The viewer is always setting the volume for the narration but then scrambling for the button to "Turn that crap down!". So, thank you!
Great show! I will wait patiently for the next one. Thanks guys!
The music is as excellent as it always is.
Hi Ian. He has jammed the radar. Raspberry, only one man in the universe would dare to use raspberry, lone star. LOL. Classic movie. I used to watch you on the Discovery Channel and now you have your own channel on RUclips and you still amaze me to this day. Absolutely incredible work. I remember the episode you did when you lowered the roof on I think a Pontiac at some old boys farm and he was freaking out on how quickly you were doing it and all I could do is laugh because you weren’t using any new tools and he was going crazy. Awesome episode another great video from you. Thank you so much. Please take care of yourselves and blessings to both of you from the UK.
Ian flexing that steel reminds me of when I used to do sounds for theater. I used half sheets of steel to create thunder.
You make it look easy Ian . Great job. 👍
Great job on the English wheel i think victor is going to be happy with the way its coming out
Aww man! You made me think about the OG Shop Inspector! R.I.P. "Dude"!
He used to love it when you made the wiggling a sheet of metal noises.
I do panels and parts like the arc. In pairs. Lol. so I don't half arse the second one!!😂😂 used your handed down skill and knowledge and a cut up bat to fix fenders on my 37 the other day!! Thank you!!!!!❤❤❤
It seems you are quite the teacher. Watching you learn the English wheel gave me an understanding I couldn't have gained without actually doing it myself. The trial and error then finding the answers and then going back at it was the key. Seeing what happens when it's done incorrectly is way more helpful than showing half of how to do it and none of how it looks when you screw up. Thanks for the lessons. I don't have a stretcher or shrinker but I know everything has a limit, what does it look like if you stretch too much in one spot? I bet if it doesn't rip you probably still can't weld it...too thin?
Of all your builds, this one has the most potential.
I love how you make things and parts by hand cause not everyone can afford all those pieces of equipment I'm learning from the artist Ian thanks Jamie and Ian stay safe out there
I understand where you are coming from Ian. You are proving things can be done WITHOUT ALL THE GEAR SOME SAY YOU NEED !!!! I was building bicycles then doing most of the work on my vehicles and now bicycles again with only a mig welder, a dropsaw, an angle grinder and basic hand tools and have managed quite well.
Welcome to Tennessee. I'm down near Memphis, but in the middle of painting right now or I'd be up there in Lebanon. You timed it just right. The low humidity was this past week. Y'all got here just in time for the sauna season. lol Enjoy and have fun.
Always a pleasure to watch listen to both of you . Very creative show .. Tin workshops are like a oven ! By putting a double roof on with big gape between helps . Pluss plant gum trees and wind brakes around the property helps allso!
Top 10 channel. Honestly the best hand fabrication that shows every step
This is A W S O M E, watching and listening to the thought process of this Master Fabricator and Jamie asking the perfectly timed questions.
Thank you to the both of you for sharing the creative process..
Caddywhacked is so beautiful with the different panels and patinas. Old steel, new steel, various colors and all of the brush Stokes laid bare to see . I understand the urge to put a finish to it and am sure you won't disappoint.
Ian does amazing work regardless of the "dated" equipment. It's hard for me to imagine that he looks at himself as a beginner in metal forming. Very humble. Great duo. Jamie is getting polished. Y'all have to mes with ASCAP??
Its the best to see Ian learn and Grow in each skill set! he is always growing his craft. great EP! comb the desert!
Thanks friend! And yes 🪮 the desert! 😂😂😂
I'm always reminded of the great Italian coachbuilders who used a tree stump and wooden hammers to make their car bodies. Or my body shop teacher who wouldn't let anyone use the air powered long boards until they had spent a year manually using a long board. His reasoning was you don't know what you're doing yet!
I’m not going to be able to get the wobbly sound of sheet metal outta my head…
Hope Tennessee is good to you two crazy lovebirds…..
Glad to see you back, missed it. I have A.C in my shop and heat, but I had to upgrade to 100amp service. The A.C. is good when you first go in, but then after you get working you can not tell it is on except when you go out and come back in. I have a big shop fan that does a fair job. Keep up the good work. Thanks for the show.
Did Ian blush when Jamie read the warning label? Tooling issues solved with a stretching tool... I nearly choked on my beer.
Great to see the "enhancements" to already great skillsets.
Great to see your progression on the Wheel.
Nicely done! Glad you're working on the caddy.cant wait till it's done, it's gonna be a beauty.
Good to see you back!
Great show thanks guys
I see the delight on your face when a plan comes together, Awesome.👽🇦🇺😎
Instructions smucktion who needs them! 😂 amazing! Mr. Victor’s gotta love it! Have fun in Tennessee! Good stuff!
We love you in the Philippines
Jamie and Ian are awesome!
Glad you’re doing great on the tube
I'm always amazed at how much time (and labor) goes into your craft. In the TV series everyone always commented on how fast you were - like there was a magic wand involved and all the stuff you did on a vehicle occurred in a couple of hours. Obviously, that grossly understated the effort you made and, I think, didn't show you in the proper light. The TV series never really showed the extent of your skills either - an omission corrected by your RUclips videos. Awesome to watch! Thank you both for sharing, and for providing the rare opportunity to learn while being entertained.
Tools? You don't need no stinking tools! As always you make it happen with your bits of wit. Great progress.
Lumping fender extraordinary extravaganza
A clean shop is a happy shop 😁
Jamie go on youtube and watch people play music on a hand saw. Ian playing with the sheet metal made me think of that. You will be blown away. Another great job on the camera ❤
Excellent guys cheers ❤😊
Your home base location is beautiful. Az is 110 today, and it's awesome.
Thanks, Ian for posting this honest fabrication progression without a doubt, the best manufacturing shop/show that truly takes thought and applies a vision with no slight of the hand bull works through the rough edges with what is at hand, the true meaning of believing that you can achieve your dreams, goals, and desire to "manifest" reality by putting intentional energy into hard work. God Bless You Ian, & your Lovely Lady Jamie.
Thank you for sharing,🛸👽👍
Delighted to see that Honest Ian’s has relocated to the desert with you - Finding the stretcher in your toolbox (that’s been there for 11 years LoL) reminded me of the measure once, cut twice moment from a previous episode. Lesser content creators would have edited that stuff out. Love the real time thought processes and discussion. I only wish Jamie would chime in more, or better yet, full on assist (apprentice?). Appreciate you both braving the heat for us (your biggest?) fans. Thanks so much!!!
Awesome to watch, I’m learning so much stuff I’ll never use but I’m enjoying the process. 👍🛸🇦🇺
Hands down the best youtube channel and car Restoration show out there. ❤ I love it.
God job you two, bit by bit it is taking shape, stay cool and see you next time.
Your skills are beyond my thinking Ian!
Good Morning you guys ⚙️🔧😎
Man.... I was at a house that had cable and they played the episode where you fix Kais purple chopper.... and i found out he passed away.... made me Hella sad my brother... but I was really happy you fixed up the chopper..... 😢 I had no clue...
Checking in from Missouri kids.
The English wheel force is with you lol 😊
You might have a future in this !!!😅 love the stories of Gene ❤
Another great job! Hope get to see yall tomorrow in Clarksville Tn, be great to see such an icon of your stature your one my all time people to meet
Great job on that fender. Spaceballs ROCKS! Watch "Recess: School's Out" if you want to see a movie with multiple levels of humor.
Thanks for sharing 😀👍
What a great place to be. Thanks for sharing with us today.
Such a humble beginner you are not.👋 such a humble person you are . 💯👽I love your show. You are so talented, oh yes, I have been watching you since Victor's golf cart thing you built for him👀👍 and before. It just goes along with my thinking as I'm watching you do your thing. I'm hanging on to your every moment. Soo many others too. I'm constantly wondering what the next move is going to be and you pull it off every single time.Gloves?? We don't need no stinking Gloves. 🙈🤣🤣🤣
I got a HF english wheel free. Spent like 8 hours trying to make a bowl out of a flat sheet.
Slept, hammered a piece a little next day, found i could smooth it out and short cut to a shape.
After a few days, i ground the pointed chisel on my pistol grip air chisel, to a round ball peen shape.
👍
I bought a “planishing hammer.” It was a waste. The gun came in handy when my other one broke. The pneumatic ball peen is what i do most of the time.
Ian dont need no stinking power tools, he is all the power the tools need!

Hi , Ian, I like your show , keep it up and a untidy workshop I way better than a tidy one for sure , I'll drink to that,👍
i love absolutely everything i have seen you build your one of the best in my opinion brother
You both are doing a great job on the show!
My son and me have a HARBOR FREIGHT BEAD ROLLER , cost like $69 , when we made the firewall for his ‘27 T Bucket , we put a bead on the outside perimeter, and 3 chevrons on each side, we let it get some surface rust , and hit it semi gloss clear, hmm 🤔 lotta folks thought it was a steel body, with a 292 cu in straight 6 , coupled to a Glide coupled to a 10 bolt posi. , those 7:50 /16’s looked like he was doing JOHN FORCE burnouts ,, fun little heap !! MLNR JIMMY53
Happy father's day weekend Ian. Love your work
