@BoltZMan55 Kade Engine's modchart capability is not really complex, so it's easier than NotITG because it doesn't require such sightreading, as the Receptors and Notes are still on their proper column placement. The Psych Engine (exclusively made for the Mind Games mod) could be a great modchart engine to use, but I don't really think that a full modchart compatibility is really implemented there.

@@itsjohfy psych, and Haxe in general are notorious for input drop problems, making a traditional rhythm game (or fighting game) in it is extremely difficult to do.
@@Exc4Iibur Psych isn't made purely in Haxe. Going through GitHub, you could literally see that it's also made with Lua and mostly C.
And Haxe as I know so far doesn't have anything to do with the inputs. If ninjamuffin almost fixed the input system in v.0.2.8 (which is Newgrounds exclusive atm, and also almost because of the latency issue), it just doesn't prove that, or perhaps it's just that I am too dumb for programming..
But yeah I see where you're coming from. But the real issue for me is optimizations. As someone who's too broke to upgrade his toaster, OpenGL errors here and there, even at Psych Engine. Whilst there are none whenever I play other 2D games in general.

It's doable without memorization, I've seen it. Just takes someone very experienced with modtracks.
the hardest part is the part where the flashing arrows move around. how does one read that
as in, the part where they also move up and down. the part where they just move side to side is much easier

what's funny is it's the other way around. Fnf has easy charts, takes breaks during turns, very lenient health system, no chords
other downsides: no accuracy system or end screen to show sick, good, miss, highest combo
without the mods, it's literally just a Normal-Hard stepchart. but take the mods back in, bruh. it exceeds Expert and Edit. 😂

This (and all other CH stages) crash for me with a "[string "in"]:36: attempt to index global `P2' (a nil value)" error right as the file starts. I'm using the latest version of nITG. Any idea what this is about?
It's trying to grab P2 (player 2)
you should be playing the file in 2 player mode (as well as all mod files in general)
