@AD4REAL_ Some of them do. Black don't crack, so LaForge and Worf look alright. Riker looks f-ed. So does Data. Troi looks an abject mess - clearly a woman who has had way too many G & T's over the years. Crusher held out well for a long time, but the collagen has run out there as well 😆

@@the_original_Bilb_Ono I seem to recall Peter Jackson also giving Ian McKellen a peck on the mouth in the feature footage from the Hobbit. It maybe a Hollywood thing.
You can tell they genuinely like each other and they're having a good time together, unlike the Original Series cast where four of the second-tier cast members hated Shatner.
It's was almost 20 to 30 years prior and back then star power ruled a show or movie. Different time. TNG was more at the time of having ensembles, and that is exactly what they were looking for here.
@@sgshaday It's still a shame that Shatner couldn't at least respect Nimoy enough to not burn that particular bridge near the end of Nimoy's life. Their apparent buddy/rival relationship was so entertaining to watch while it lasted. Also, what you're saying doesn't explain why DS9 and Voyager had more castmate issues. TNG's cast was unique in how well they gelled behind the scenes. It wasn't perfect, as for one example I recall a story about how Michael and LeVar once had to politely explain to Patrick why something he said was racist (I can imagine how well that would go over in today's awful political climate; "Worf and Geordi are woke! They just hate white people! They're race-baiters!"), but it seems like they always achieved understanding and never held grudges...unlike the original series cast. So while there is truth to what you said, it is also true that Shatner was driven to the point of holding others down if he could (and he has admitted before that it was a choice he made between elevating his career by any means necessary over making friends) and it is also true that TNG's crew got along better than most regardless.

My personal thanks to cast crew and everyone involved in making one of the best television shows of all time.
Frakes and those turbolift doors have a history. It's rarely captured on film, but people often bring up how the turbolift doors just "malfunctioned" around him. Best example on film I can find is actually in the Star Trek Enterprise blooper reel. The door closed on him while he was still stepping onto the bridge set. You can tell he's not surprised AT ALL that happened.
Thanks so much for recording this! I was there as well but my camera is terrible at recording video. I'm so glad you have posted this so I can show it to my family (almost all of them heavy-duty trekkies), especially those who weren't able to attend!

How can not adore Patrick Steward, looks like a gentle sweet human being. All of the cast of TNG, I respect them. I was 16 when the series started and I grew up with the re runs of the original series. Never resisted TNG I loved it from the begining, today I have more than 60 hours of TNG on the DVR. This is great. It's great to see them able to interact so seamlessly still. I know they don't need to do anything more Trek-wise, but Brent is right, we need it, but for heaven's sakes, do something "new". We liked TNG because it was fresh and exciting. If anything new is to happen, let it happen all over again, from the moment when you didn't think it would survive to another Expo like this with 9 other new castmembers we have grown to love.

All the characters including Q had me knowing this was new and unique with a few nods to the original with the new take Q was on a similar character from the original, Trelane. I wish I could meet any of them, without seeming like a Trekkie, and tell them what fantastic memories I have of that show, watching with my mom when I was 10.
You've got the right attitude, brother. I've never understood why a straight male who is comfortable with his sexuality would be such a homophobe. More gay men equals less competition for women. I've always suspected that people who go out of their way to be publicly vocal against homosexuality are usually doing it to overcompensate for something. It's like racists who secretly desire black women. Same kind of thing.
It is amazing how divergent an actor is from the characters they play, and on so many levels. This may be in some way integral to the analysis of the aesthetics, epistemology and metaphysics of the duality of Good and evil, Truth and falsehood in so far as Art and Culture disseminate or dissimulate relevant information. The "human" nature of the actors is such a grisly deviation from the not only the nature of the characters and their millieu, but of any of the ideals and principles upheld.
