    It would be amazing if theres a good way of getting closed meshes. Say if i want a model of a clay pot. If i stand it up and scan then i wont get the underside. Is there anyway to get a full 3D object and a closed mesh as opposed to an open?

    Can this work with a vehicle/car?

      Reflective materials are hard to scan so if you can reduce the reflective material there is stuff you can spray that coats the object allowing you to scan it but you'll lost the texture but you'll have the model. Hope this helps

    Heya, quick question. Is it possible to use it from inside something? For example, a room or car interior?

      It is, but still better for individual objects and you need to remember for 200 images limit. If you want to do interiors try RealityCapture

    What is the area limit for scanning? Can you do entire forests like the promo suggests?

    • @CapturingReality
      @CapturingReality  Год назад +1

      Hi, for now the limit is 200 images. So, it is basically for object's scanning. Then you can combine those object to forest.

      Do you have correctly connected account? Have you received the notification about upload? Is the application showing something?

      @@CapturingReality I do have connected logged in account, when I press export it’s open sketchfab website main page and I don’t get any notifications

      @@ArikiSun When you will check your Sketchfab account, in the Settings/Connected account do you see RC-EG app? After exporting the model should firstly compute and if your account are connected, then you should stay in RS app and see the progress of processing your model.

    Isn’t video superior form of capturing images? A much simpler method of obtaining the data

    • @Dale_Hat
      @Dale_Hat Год назад

      A video only gives you a idea of gps per frame where a image has it's own individual gps compared to a video that only takes into account like the start and end gps. Videos can be superior if there is high fps I seen some mapillary scans that had high fps 360 image/video so the scan turned out great on the sparse point cloud.

      video frames quality/resolution/sharpness is much worse than photos - but yes, its is faster to capture video
