Nicely done. An actual demonstration of short rifs. And dozens of them! Including A:B against a clean tone. Most importantly, no useless yacking. Thanks - Lumpy
Two of the most essential pedals that should go on any board no matter the styles of playing are the Xotic EP booster and this Pigtronix micro Philosopher's Tone. They will do more to improve your guitar tone than anything and will further enhance anything else you use or get in the future. The notion they are not a lot of bucks for both is an outstanding bargain. Add to that the small new BBE sonic maximizer and you have 3 small footprint pedals that are simply game changers for tone. The Philosopher's Tone is a better compressor than the others as it is an optical circuit and is utterly noiseless, has internal 18v power rails from the external 9v source. Get this pedal for just over a $100 it is an outstanding value.
Paul A & - this is a very good compressor. The EP booster however I sold. It's a decent pedal but now I use an Analogman GH7 EQ and a Creation Audio boost. They both are fantastic.
Who iz this faceless hero of the guitar? This guy must be on many session musician wanted lists.. He could plug into dog poop and make beautiful music.. WTF :)
I know what a compressor does, I use them in recording. I just didn't get anything out of this pedal. Oh...and remember Paul is PAID to promote products.!! Cheers

This pedal is a rip off it doesn't do anything more then a nice tube amp can do

Your comment needs some more thought
Chris, What you smokin'? Check out Paul Gilbert's review to learn more about what a compressor does.
