The editors know they need to give Boss Yang a hard time and he knows he will be the butt of the "the photo shoot is a month away" joke. Fictionalized dramatic twists like that, Moonbyul "unexpectedly" showing up at the gym, Solar and Boss Yang being forced to watch their fellow diners eat massive amounts of carbs, etc. are there to make the show interesting. Without that false drama this is a story about two people working out and eating a low fat/low carb diet which makes for extremely dull television. Plus, if someone is going to criticize the magazine people then they must also criticize Solar and Boss Yang. Both of them are extremely busy and competent professional entertainers. Their schedules are booked months in advance. They and their management negotiated contracts that would have stated the dates of the photo shoot. There is no way they didn't know when the photo shoot was going to happen. If the photo shoot date was an actual surprise to them in this meeting both would have thrown a fit and would have immediately been on the phone with their managers.

In short, this agency promoting men's health whilst not knowing each person's body type and its maximum potential is indeed stupid imo. You need to hire staff, photographer, rent equipment, booked a location, selecting the theme/concept, prepare the outfit, etc. The publishing company already plan, rent, pay and booked everything for July shoot, so they can't simply change their schedule to a month earlier just because their model are misinformed.
It's not that simple tho If you watch the esteem CEO on the earlier episode, model agency do shoot almost every month. There're some case where they should shoot twice a month. They plan and pay rent way ahead of time so you can't really change the date that easily especially if it's a client request's type of photoshoot
People can make mistakes, but we shouldn't make mistakes shared responsibilities. It's for a magazine lol, it's not like they're being judgemental for no reason. All magazines around the world have a certain theme and thus will have a specific type of body they want. That is how the industry is. It is not a supportive industry and that is why you see many celebs suffer from a lot of mental health and body image issues. So of course the people who are in charge of putting out a magazine that is all about looks and aesthetics will be critical. Boss Yang isn't an idol so therefore they will be just as critical towards him if not more. I think this is a perfect example to remind people who consume entertainment to remember the entertainment industry is toxic. So yes they come off as terrible for being overtly critical but that is how so many people work in that type of field. They want to put out a concept that consumers want. Consumers want that image of a Chris Hemsworth or Wonho.

Honestly just hate this show and the warped concept and images of bodies that they are trying to sell people in a "health" magazine. There's nothing healthy about it. Working out is good, eating healthy is good, but the sort of body image this "health" magazine is trying to push isn't for everyone. It could be aspirational, sure. But having bulkier muscles, or having less defined abs doesn't make you less healthy.
dude... boss yang would only need like 2 - 3 days... but it's gonna be intense like dehydrate himself... you know most people who has like that kind of shoot does that, where you skin is only sitting at the top of your muscles. and they would see the lines they'd want. but heck boss yang is kinda huge it's good though. lean is great but it's intensely stupid and hard... the diet is like 80%.

I'm a body builder and I'm amazed how they perfectly describe the body type of typical nasty builder, whom build their body with drug, not they hard work.

Honestly just hate this show and the warped concept and images of bodies that they are trying to sell people in a "health" magazine.
There's nothing healthy about it.
Working out is good, eating healthy is good, but the sort of body image this "health" magazine is trying to push isn't for everyone. It could be aspirational, sure. But having bulkier muscles, or having less defined abs doesn't make you less healthy.
Cannot believe they criticized that mans perfect body. The standards in Korea are outrageous.
They judge someone who's working hard to be fit because they don't know how hard it was. :)
dude... boss yang would only need like 2 - 3 days... but it's gonna be intense like dehydrate himself... you know most people who has like that kind of shoot does that, where you skin is only sitting at the top of your muscles. and they would see the lines they'd want. but heck boss yang is kinda huge it's good though. lean is great but it's intensely stupid and hard... the diet is like 80%.
I'm sure some of this is staged to a degree since it's for tv, but it's really frustrating hearing them tell Boss Yang to go against his body type. I wonder if those 3 representatives from Men's Health even have any background in fitness or nutrition.

The ugly side of the industry is when the ppl who are demanding these model to be more 'perfect' are waaay far from the standards that they keep on setting. Like look at them if i were to throw their words back at them, they're scrawny af. Boss yang is so under appreciated when he's doing all of these to make a living.
To be fair, they don't have to look like the ones they demand things from. That's where the professionals and other people who can look like that step in and play their roles (be they models, actors, athletes, chefs, photographers, etc, etc).
I'm not saying their demands are always reasonable, because yes, some demands can be outrageous. Nevertheless, it's not going to be realistic to expect people to meet the same standards before they can demand anything.

These editors are so unlikeable - i know they are just doing their job and Boss Yang doesn't fit their criteria..but are they really? This whole process is put on a Boss in the Mirror, and not only that, Boss Yang alone is a much bigger influencer than most other idols and actors. Those two facts alone should be able to drive up their sales compared to their standard issues, no? I am really glad about the Boss Yang content and the fact that Solar is in this - but i really can't stand the fact that the Men's Health is the one who is going to profit the most from this
