The railyard in Česká Třebová is actually the biggest (functional) railyard in the Czech Republic, so it makes sense that there are a lot of abandoned trainsets and wagons - some are awaiting maintenance but some are actually abandoned.

Damn, your pronunciation of czech words is impressive, especially the meals! They have a lot of special symbols and characters that make it hard, but you nailed it.
And, this is also a train that I might be riding soon, so, it's nice to see what I'll be getting into. Very informational and pleasurable to watch as always.

Kolín is worth a visit if you want to see a normal Czech city - not as touristy as Prague. As for Česká Třebová, there are some trains (the abandoned ones) - they are meant to be scraped in near future. In Pardubice region, new trains on local lines will be deployed soon (called RegioFox) so that may be also the case why these trains are abandoned and waiting for beiing scrapped. Nice evening from Czechia!

11:10 Not true! The max speed is 230km/h in Velim on the testing circuit. Some places in Czechia could also have speeds of up to 200km/h but there's always problems with it getting approval or removing at grade crossings. Also I love the effort you put into pronouncing the czech names! It sometimes sounds a bit funny but it's perfectly understandable for Czechs! Great video as always, love from Czechia

1:00 This hall will “soon” disappear and be replaced by a new one. The whole area around Prague hl.n. will become pedestrian-friendly (it will be possible to walk in front of old building, the "highway" in front of it will be reduced). Whole thing wont be completed until after 2030. Look at the project "Šťastný Hlavák", there is visualization of the future appearance.
10:44 This yard is sometimes called the railway graveyard, for many trains and wagons its their final destination where they will be recycled

The left wing (The one you see blocked at 2:09) has been restored.. you will love it.. from the flooring, magnificent ceilings and the Foyer café, which is the fanciest café Ive ever encountered on a train station... with entrance from that corridor as well as platform 1.. Next to it a huge hall that is and will be used for events wiith a beautiful Czechoslovak coat of arms from the 20s (bearing the Czech, Moravian, Slovak and Ruthenian regions) which was found during the reconstruction and fancifully restored. I am looking forward to the right wing as there will be more available as first class lounges.... Recommended to check it out...

In my opinion LEO was a gem back in the days when it started. In went bad the last years with dirty overcrowded trains. The new Chinese trains would solve a lot of their problems, but they cancelled all of them. Hope that, with the ownership of Renfe/CAF, there will be a turn into the right direction. I would expect some CAF trains coming in and a more diverse rail plan than only Praha Bohumin or the extended lines to Krakow (PL) Košice, (SK). Fingers crossed! Great video btw!

That's not as interesting, I wanna see him on the "Spinebuster", from Bratislava to Prievidza 😂 Especially from Trnava to Leopoldov, and then between Partizánske and Zemianske Kostoľany, they've "repaired" the track, worked on it for two weeks, so that trains can go through at... 5 km/h. Still, instead of 0 km/h and taking the bus, it's... progress.
But it's 2nd class only, noisy, rattling, no service, no wifi, 5 stops in 9 kilometers for a "fast train", stopping 3 times in Partizánske, but not stopping once in Pezinok, despite being similarly sized, that's what I wanna see. Also, he can have a nice tour of Bojnice, with the zoo, castle and everything.

The food presentation is also pretty poor, but for the price, I guess you can't complain. 4 classes seems a bit excessive for a small train like that. The NS isn’t subsidized, with the exception of the covid years backdrop in passengers. Trains are already filled to the max in rush hour (I often have to stand), so any lowering of ticket prices will mean even more passengers. This will obviously mean they will be left on the platforms during rush hour. And already on most routes the trains are very frequent with every 10 to 15 minutes service. Only on tracks with ERTMS safety systems the trains could be increased to every 5 minutes, but there aren’t enough trains and personnel available.

You should definitely try the most modern train in Europe, InterJet, which runs between Prague Cheb and Žilina

Tím už cestoval (rozhodně bych neřekl, že je to nejmodernější souprava v Evropě - je super, ale jsou i lepší). Na konci videa připomíná video z cesty InterJetem.

And the next European industry that is going to go down thanks to cheaper products from China - totally not thanks to subsidies and laxer working and environmental protections.

The train seems good enough and an enjoyable ride. However, I am sorry, but I find the food in those European trains almost always lacking. The look of the plastic container porridge is very dubious.

£32 for all that, Yet Euston to Manchester would be about 5 times the price for a walk on fare, and your lucky if the train is running, let alone getting a seat

What normal person has hot chocolate with breakfast? That meal looked more like horrible airline food than prepared on the train as it should be. If eating in one's seat and not in a dining carriage then the table should be a fixed full size one. Why have baggage vans been removed from modern trains, it makes no sense to clutter carriages with luggage.

I have hot chocolate for breakfast! So, according to you, I am not 'normal'. The porridge looked very tasty.
