Rafa Medina right? i never understood why everyone loved her charmbracelet voice, since i just thought it was a slightly better version of her emancipation voice, but this performance made me realize how great she was in 2003
daydream no bitch was on GOD holding notes with vibrato up to E5 this era. Something she never did 97-2001 and after this era. If you took CB era and switched it with 97-2000 people would have probably noticed that there was less of a decline if any at all
This is honestly her best performance of this song in my opinion. The F#5s, the "wonders" at 3:15, and the whistle note at the last part. Hell yeah she owned it! Damn Charmbracelet era is so underrated.
@Today's a Good Day 18 whoever knows her voice know its live. For people that don't know her abilities as in general as in every different era would say its lipped. I'm sure its live being a fan for years and having heard every single last performance of her. Even for an inexperienced on Mariah it is easy to tell its live listening to the "woNDERS" that is obviously not lipped and blends perfectly with the "WOnders".
@@VocalsFan It's lipped periodt. Try listening to the studio vocals of 'wonders' AND this performance from 3:10 - 3:21 (i'm aware they're different by a semitone). You'll notice it's the same vocals + the volume changes from 3:21 to 3:23 because Mariah switches from lipping to live singing. In short, it's lipped. Try listening to other Mariah performances of this song pre-2010's and you'll notice she always lips this part along with the D5 belt at 2:48. You're right that any 'inexperienced' Mariah fan would say that it's live. However, once you get to really listening to Mariah's studio vocals and performances, you'll be able to notice and identify which is live and which is lipped. Unfortunately, the wonders is lipped.
Sweetie I hate to break it to you but . . . she did a little miming with three lines in this performance 🙈. Also, San Jose was better and St. John The Divine is still her best performance of this song

Mariah is so good at doing her Christmas songs live. She should come out with a tv concert that is later released on DVD of just her Christmas music and maybe a new Christmas song or two it would be amazing!
WoW! I remember even back then people we’re saying that she lost her voice! I wish she’d still have that voice today!!! It was amazing here! All live! 👌👌👌

love how her voice is so thick in the CB tour 😍
she ate that. i haven't heard her sing it with *this* much gusto in a while.
she sang this song back in december and it honestly sounded really good. not as good as this one, but it was still really good

Why she avoids vibrato now... i don.t know
Apparently it can possibly crack her voice if she'd try belting with vibrato. She has been evidently utilising it more since 2019 though
