I usually get a pint of "Mixed" which are fluorescent orange, pink, yellow, red & white. (not bronze, cos the colour comes off) Some shops even sell "Discos" which are all these, but include Blue & Green. Black might be "Interesting" if the maggot breeders give it a try ? it would contrast against the skyline - like when sharks "Breach" for Seals near the surface !!
Hi Carl, All colours are a U.V., Wavelength perception ! So what appears to be Red say on the bank in the bait box is a lot different to that in the water AND at different depths. (because the wavelength changes) There are YT and other online charts, which show what the colours actually look like at various depths - Hope this helps buddy ?

All I can say is sometimes switching one to the other is like turning a light on

Flavour reds with chilli powder it darkens them and tench n carp love that chilli flavour
