Sounds like air filter wasn’t filtering at some point, dusted the engine and burnt the rings. I Dig the diy clean room. I’m in the midst of rebuilding a 188. Parts are so high that clean room is important. Don’t wanna do it twice.

Thanks it's not a perfect clean room but it's been working pretty good so far

Have you ever run across a head bolt leaking coolant even after applying thread sealant on a 188/207?

@@bobs4689 not personally, but if your leaking coolant at the head to block connection it's not the bolt that's your problem.
