- Steve shows off a killer old Slingerland drum kit in a very rare (and in incredible condition) Mardi Gras Pearl finish! This kit nearly plays itself, and carries that classic Slingerland sound.

Slingerland seems like the most musical of the drums from the 60s
What a lovely, great sounding kit. Gotta love that Slingerland sound!
I always regretted not having a Slingerland kit.
Always a pleasure listening to you.
The smile on Steve’s face at the end
I enjoyed this drumming video more than any other video in a really long time.
Great sounding kit!
Pre the 1968 setomatic tom holder.
Great sound and colour..
Great sounding kit. I would imagine when the stage lights catch those highlights in the finish it just sparkles.
Those drums sound so pure, beautiful cymbals, enjoy your playing. It was great to see you on Nashville.
Everything sounds amazing with this kit and cymbals! That bass drum is tuned perfectly. That's what I shoot for on my 22 inch Rogers celebrity.
Maxwells silver hammer gets a fine sound out of the Slingers 🎼🥁
beautiful kit and nice chops. There is a psychedelic blue 1966 slingerland kit on craigslist that I'm positively drooling over but can't really afford
Nice round tone from the toms. Snare has good resonates
One of the best wraps imo
Superb sound from all four drums. Did all the Slinglerlands from this era sound this good?
I have only one data point. My 1964 3 piece, with a 1965 floor tom (same sizes as these) sound like this, although they've never been played like Steve just played. They were given to me as a teenager, and I've had them almost 60 years. Sadly, I swapped out all of the heads and lost the original logo head. Love the shells, but have always had problems with the tom holder on the rail consolette. My gold sparkle wrap faded in a sunny room, but they still sound great.
I own an early 60's Krupa deluxe 20/13/16 and it is truly fabulous. The floor tom is soooo good. Love Slingerland 🥁👌
Surprisingly really like those sabian crashes. Much prefer the AA LINE TO HH even though I love dark vintage cymbals and play old Ks and As from the 50s HHX ARE JUST MISSING SOMETHING TO MY EAR
Beautiful kit... with "Niles" badges my guess would be early to mid 1960s. It is my understanding up through about 1962 they were still "Chicago" black and gold badges. In any case what a great sounding kit.
sounds absolutely beautiful!
That floor tom sound divine
I have a beautiful Slingerland kit from the early 70’s (I think). It has a great silvery white sparkle finish. It sits in my basement. I would love to know more about it.
Floor Tom sounds massive
Floor Tom was really making my loudspeakers shake!
Good job buddy!
Nice❤
4:30 very Mr Rich !!
Is that a Slingerland sticker on a Remo bass drum head or is a retro Slingerland head available? It looks great and I'd love on for my 20" 1958 Slingerland bass drum
Checked out your site, this set not there. I assume it sold?
Nice drums how much with all the cymbals and Istanbul hihats with hard shell cases
It should have COB hoops. If not, then late '60s. What is the finish inside?
That kit is going to need a cigarette when he's done!
