That song was sung so perfect those songs and our John and all the band back in the day are not what they are like now I miss listening to song like that r.i.p George Michael your mum will never be forgotten ❤ ❤
The way he rearranged this song to make it such a beautiful more current standard was amazing. He had an epic, beautiful, silky pitch, perfect voice. He Power he had was definitely above almost everybody else in the music world. His voice just got better and better and better.
George started very pop with Wham, when he went solo, his music matured, funny thing you used the phase spin the wheel, I was tossing up between 3 George Michael songs and one of them was his song Spinning the Wheel, which story-wise is definitely one of my favourites, and it's very Jazzy and soul and it's such a great song and the third one I was debating was the long and Winding Road live at the Linda McCartney tribute concert, and somebody to love at the Freddy Mercury tribute concert was amazing too, lol ok I think everything he does is amazing lol, glad you enjoyed this one, thanks for doing it, thought after Beiber it may have got a NOPE lol
@Kimagee - you just picked some of my favourite George performances and I too love Spinning the Wheel. I also love everything he’s done! This performance was amazing. For me, he’s the best singer/songwriter ever.
RIP George, 8 years next xmas day, and sadly his sister Melanie died also on Christmas Day 3 years later of the same thing heart failure kind of an eerie coincidence from the guy that brought out last Christmas I gave you my heart
I'll add in my faves, please ignore any you know, etc. When it comes to George, please get on that soapbox. George Michael: IMHO The best. A Different Corner(my personal fave song, ever, by any artist) Jesus To A Child (written about his partner that died from AIDS related complications, his entire album, Older, is dedicated to him) One More Try Fast Love (If possible watch video, it's amazing) Freedom 90 (Video is STUNNING! TOP models of 90's featured. It's an autobiographical song, watch his video for Faith first and at least one Wham! video to put the lyrics into better context) Monkey Praying For Time Spinning The Wheel, great jazzy number with a powerful message about HIV/AIDS. Somebody To Love (from the Freddie Mercury tribute concert. He KILLED it. ) Outside (Personally love this one just for the sheer balls shown by making a song about his own arrest) White Light (Which to be honest, since his death, breaks my heart every single time, as does Last Christmas) Waiting For That Day Older Heal The Pain I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me) his duet with Aretha Franklin. (He was a powerful duet partner. He knew how to let the others shine, from Whitney Houston, Mary J Blige, Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney, the list is impressive.) ...ummm, basically his entire catalogue. LoL Wham!: Club Tropicana Young Guns (Go For It) Everything She Wants Wham Rap! (Enjoy What You Do) Where Did Your Heart Go The Edge Of Heaven Battlestations I'm Your Man (Extended Stimulation Remix, I love the cheeky bit they added in the car part)
My favorite singer of all time!!! He left us way too soon!!!
Just loved him. What a voice. Gone way too soon. ❤😢
The song Spinning a Wheel is yet another side of George ❤

Only George Michael could turn a post-WW1 veterans’s protest song into a torch song, and with such panache!
