1:01:04 talk about gunning it in. That was a blur. 21 yards hand-off

The final score could be 78-2, but if Charlie Jones was the announcer you knew you were watching the game of the week.

They just don't seem to make voices like that anymore.

I loved Charlie Jones. Not only was he a great announcer, he sounded like he was having fun and made you laugh. You can't say that about today's boring announcers.

@@penceguitar I know, that's so true. I grew up in Canada, and we had guys like Danny Gallivan, Bill Hewitt, Don Chevrier and Pat Marsden. I listen to the announcers that are doing hockey and football now, and there simply is no comparison. The quality of the voices of the announcers is nowhere near what it was in the 70's and 80's.

@@jamiejohnson4524 exactly. Charlie Jones' job was to announce football games, but he was a fan of the game first. And that beautiful, deep Arkansas twang was just amazing to listen to. For me he was the voice of Sunday's growing up.

Really? Winder wasn’t bad. Humphrey was a 1000 yard rusher. And Delpino and Bernstine were a good combo. Denver has had a rushing game before TD
