Santiago also known as Santiago de Chile, is the capital and largest city of Chile as well as one of the largest cities in the Americas. It is the center of Chile's most densely populated region, the Santiago Metropolitan Region, whose total population is 8 million, of which more than 6 million live in the city's continuous urban area. The city is entirely in the country's central valley. Most of the city lies between 500-650 m (1,640-2,133 ft) above mean sea level.
Ñuñoa (from Mapudungun Ñuñohue, "place of yellow flowers") is a commune of Chile located in the Santiago Province and the Santiago Metropolitan Region. The oldest municipality in the traditional east end of Santiago, Ñuñoa has most city amenities (subways, banks, shopping areas, etc.) while still maintaining its character as a quiet, residential area, residential commune. It belongs to the Northeastern zone of Santiago de Chile.
Recently, Ñuñoa's many charms and convenient location have led to an increased desire by young urban professionals to live there. In response, developers have bought out older homes and erected multi-dwelling units, a practice that has triggered much criticism from long-time residents. In 2007, Ñuñoa was cited for the third consecutive year as the district with the highest quality of life in Santiago.
Ñuñoa boasts bustling public services and private businesses and a public transportation system serving all parts of the municipality. Most business activity takes place along Irarrázaval Ave., a 6-km thoroughfare crossing the entire municipality east-west. Ñuñoa is also home to Santiago’s only mosque and to the National Stadium, Chile’s largest sports complex.

Para nosotros los chilenos que vivimos fuera de Chile por muchos años esta clase de videos debe tener mas informacion sobre nombre de calles y lugares de Ñuñoa porque tambien fuimos parte de ella .Asi no conocemos nada de las partes y lugares donde se filma a esepcion de la plaza. La proxima vez usa un microfono en la camara y veraz que te agradeceremos todos los que estamos afuera por relatar tu posicion .Gracias y sigue adelante.
Hola Antonio, muchas gracias por tu comentario. La verdad es una de las cosas que ronda mi mente por estos días y es que aún no estoy tan seguro del formato que le quiero dar a este canal, pues la idea inicial era simplemente retratar caminatas silenciosas donde la ciudad hablara por si sola, de tal manera de ofrecerle al espectador la sensación de estar ahí. El contenido lo subo en inglés para que el algoritmo le pueda ofrecer estos videos a la audiencia que ya sigue este tipo de canales y que probablemente poco y nada sabe de Santiago. Algo así como una ventana de nuestra ciudad al público internacional. Sin embargo sé que la mayoría de las personas que ve mi canal por estos días son chilenos y quizás lo que propones tú tenga más sentido, sobre todo porque pronto me mudaré y continuaré con el canal fuera de Chile y puede ser incluso de interés de la población latina... Aunque no lo creas es un gran conflicto interno. Subiré un video cortito de todos modos explicando un poco la situación y quizás me anime a relatar parte de las futuras caminatas. Saludos!
Si de este tipo de videos hay muchos y nosotros que vivimos muy lejos los veimos a menudo y lo importante es llegar a muchas personas y no necesitan que sean en ingles u otro idioma porque chilemos habimos cualquier cantidad en el mundo entero y siempre estamos preocupados de nuestro pais y vemos toda clase de video que sea desde alla. Tambien se le pueden poner musica,locusion, fotos y mas los nombres de los lugares. Saludos desde Australia.

scary guys! never walk in such dark streets in santiago..now a very dangerous city in almost every neighborhoods...watch your phones cards and valuables...dont go to the centro..or other places like that..it's full of immigrants specially the worst from cplombia venezuela and haiti..think twice before coming to santiago these days...
I stayed in Ñuñoa as a solo traveller in January 2023 and felt safe there. But I appreciate people will have different opinions. Best thing is to not take any unnecessary risks.
Antes todo el centro de Santiago era de esa manera......no solo está parte ......influyó mucho la inmigración descontrolada........ojalá prevalezca la cultura chilena.......y en ves de ser malo sea algo bueno la mezcla cultural.......eso se verá en 50 años mas
