Bravo, Mike! Excellent lighting and camera work. I appreciate no background music also as it can be so f’ing distracting on instructional content. Thanks for making these detailed videos.
Awesome video. This really helped me out. Appreciate the effort you took to make it. I especially liked the reverse re-install. Really helped to make sure I didn't forget to plug any harnesses back in and routed everything correctly.
Hi Mike! Nice to see you! This is Big Joe. Happy to see you and Danny Boy doing your own thing together. Working for a corporation wasn't for me. Maybe not for you guys either. Good Luck to you both and tell Danny Boy Big Joe says Hi!
Hi Big Joe! Man nice to hear from you. I hope you are doing well. We often reminisce of the old times. Danny has a fishing boat in long beach. We should go out. Email me you contact info. md4bmw.mini@gmail.com
I have a thin wire tube to goes through a gap in between the manifold preventing me of removing that goes to the hub assembly that you pried off. Any tips on removing this? On this car it was placed on top towards the back of manifold.
?: would you recommend changing the intake manifold gaskets on reassembly if they’re the original? FYI, you had little typo at the end there on “Congrats”.
Very good lighting but raced away to quickly for me. Just disconnected everything and didn’t show how to get apart. Needs to slow down for me. No help for me.
Insane how some starters last more than others Mine took a crap at 177k miles My only symptom was it would make a click sound whenever I tried to start it Bought a $70 starter from rock auto lol
@@MikeMDs so we just replace a vacuum leak and now the car stalled when ever the RPMS get low. So whenever you stop the RPMS hover between 600 and 1000 I’m not a big car guy I’m 16 it’s my first car my dad kinda knows cars and he drives a BMW
@@MikeMDs we replace the crankcase vent hose because the service light came on and the EML light. Right now there is no lights on but the stalling is happening. no the stalling is a new problem
Thank you..just completed this job-- followed your video every step
Glad it helped

Thank you! I appreciate that. I'm happy it helped you.
This is the cleanest way to do it.. Some people just move the intake to the side, and it takes a lot of effort to do it
Thank you!

Aww damn ! Too late now lol !
You can replace them. I would. But I will say the design and gasket material is very good and can be reused without issue if in a pinch.
How long does this one take for an experienced tech. Would you say 3-4 hours or less?
Yes 3-4 hours max
Did you remove two small screws at bottom of manifold?
Very good lighting but raced away to quickly for me. Just disconnected everything and didn’t show how to get apart. Needs to slow down for me. No help for me.
Perfect!!! Best Regards!!!
Many thanks!!

Do you have a Email so I can talk to you about problems with my 2006 mini?
Hi, you can tell me here .

What part did you replace and why? Also was it doing that before?
@@MikeMDs we replace the crankcase vent hose because the service light came on and the EML light. Right now there is no lights on but the stalling is happening. no the stalling is a new problem
Sounds like you have a vacuum leak possibly. Drive it around to make the check engine light come on and see what code what comes up.
