There are different Therapy Treatments that are effective: Dialectiv behavioral Therapy, Mentalization based Therapy, Schema Therapy, Motivational Therapy and certain Trauma based Therapies show good effects. There are also other Methods being tested at universities around the globe. So better suggest they look for such therapies than telling people that there is no hope. kind regards.

It's just like throwing money into the toilet. What she needs is a good support network of people including her parents. They need to help her get real help, and not just take her to the doctor and get some prescriptions. Mental illness, especially someone with that many severe ones is impossible to solve without people to help you. Her parents really need to step up and take her into a mental hospital or something since this will only lead to her death if nothing changes. It's sad but true. It's like giving a homeless drug addict money. Although I can empathise about their bad situation, giving them money will only fuel their drug habits if the underlying problem of mental illness and addiction isn't resolved.
