It’s pretty much impossible to sound this good at a local level even if you’re insanely tight chances are the sound guy isn’t your sound guy and just makes it ‘okay’, the room isn’t setup properly for live sound mixing, and the speakers are not powerful enough to support a vocalist over a band unless they’re practically yelling or playing quieter music
@@Viper-dz2kw try to sound as good as possible from the stage / as a band then normally the sound engineer doesn't have to do THAT much. but yeah, i get your point.
@@Viper-dz2kw the amount of times I’ve mixed us before a gig, my local is right near the music college, so a lot of local nights are mixed by college student, which isn’t bad. But I spent half our sound check teaching them how to use the console and mix the supporting / next band.
Just when i thought I couldn't be any more impressed by Alex, he drops this. Not only is he stepping into a slightly different genre, he's establishing a narrative arc for a fictional band. Amazing!

I've gotten so used to Alex being a god at every aspect of music he picks up, I fully just expected for him to drop a screamo vocal part in the middle of the verse. A little sad that we didn't reach that level, but a little reassured that this incredible musician is in some form just a human like the rest of us. (Hope this didn't come off as dismissive, absolutely loved this vid and all of your content! The Melton Cinematic Universe is my new favorite!)

Was hoping for screams and a heavier breakdown, especially after all the bands he named. The breakdown was kinda anticlimactic. Overall the cover was more rock than metalcore. However, Alex's musicianship is outstanding like always.

Also, truth on the comedy. Weaving in the like/sub call-to-action into the call at the end was perfectly paced
But I also wish he just released an audio only version of it too though, it's hard to justify adding it to my playlist with the one minute of filler at the beginning and end of the video. I like the comedy bits too, just hard to replay it every time I want to listen to it.

I like how Alex could easily be a one man label with a diverse roster of bands that just all happen to consist of just him.

Also: I remember seeing Fall Out Boy with about 10 people (yes I’m old) because there was a time when they wanted to be known and no one knew who they were or liked them.
Point being: club promoters are typically useless and scummy.

Production: incredible. The reworking of some of the progressions and groove is sick
I love this! Different to your usual stuff but still in the perfect catchment area of lads in their 30s who went from listening to pop punk, then to hardcore/metalcore then back around. It's a fun nostalgia trip!
This, stylistically, is wonderful. I'd love to hear Death Inevitable's original debut album.

Alex I loved this version but there is one little thing I feel it was missing if hopefully you continue in this genre. I'd love to see someone doing a bit of scream vocals. I don't think it would be need to be a lot but I feel it would add a lot to the sound. Other than that, like I said great video! Truly outstanding.
