By far THE best Tesla sales pitch I've ever heard. Excellent information, excellent production! I feel fortunate to be one of the first 1000 subs. Please keep the content coming.

Thank you for the perspective. (Ending with a cheap shot at accounting for R&D is a little lame.)

Are you reading from a teleprompter on your dashboard? That's smart. Keep the videos coming.

While I am planning to buy a Model Y in the next 6 months before Musk takes away all the stalks from the car, I am going to be a turd for many viewers by saying some inconvenient truths: Insurance is very high for the Teslas because of the vehicles being easily totaled by relatively minor accidents. And while maintenance costs are low, unless you drive like a granny, frequent tire replacements due to the car’s extra weight, acceleration and the very nature of the larger wheels with minimal rubber sidewalls makes the car vulnerable to damage from road damage. And, if the car holds its value… the ownership tax on a yearly basis will bite you in my state. And, in my case if I needed to put in a dedicated line to charge my car, which I personally don’t need as my mileage is minimal, the cost of running a new line to upgrade my 125 amp service and to upgrade the breaker panel would cost thousands, many thousands. And in my case while keeping the car charged is cheaper than gas by a factor of 3 to 4 times… it would take more than my lifetime to recoup the cost of purchasing a new car over just keeping an old one, like my seven year old Subaru Forester that has 33,000 miles. Nice video with many good points - and I better stop being critical or I’ll talk myself out of buying a Tesla!

Agreed. One day, when service catches up with sales, repairs may become cheaper. But that is a long ways away.

Thanks for detailed explanation. I’m paying 17 c per kw. Gas $3.20. Only this make more expensive to drive Tesla vs Prius. Tesla more expensive to buy. Reliability not even close to Toyota. Tesla sedan. Prius hatchback. Yes, model Y is hatch, but price even more insane. Tax credit for EV not everyone can use.

The 2024 Prius Prime starts at $32,975 and tops out at $43,435 with all the options added. You can get a used Model 3 for almost half of that. Toyota loves to sell hybrids because they require lots of service, which is where the dealers make most of their profit. ToyotaCare only lasts 2 years.
