Have u tried removing the pet from the household in the my world settings? I will see what I can come up with tonight on this.. as I've never seen it

I'm unsure why it wont work.. u should be able to check the animal in at the machine.. then after a brief wait period.. a vet should come and take your pet to the back.. for examination.. if your sims has negative whims.. they might not listen to your commands.. u must get rid of negative whims.. other than that it should work
