Likewise! Oddly enough, 3 others in my local audio club own Linkwitz Labs. Two people with LX521's and one with Orions. Next up is a full in depth review of these after 6 years of owning them.
Again an interesting video and again interesting music. But where is the Hotel California!! No, just joking :) When you started talking about the recording, I decided to ask how you compare the recording to what you are currently hearing in your room. And in two minutes you answered me yourself, you are fast! :) only in the last video I noticed that you also have sound absorbers on the side wall (I have it at the front and at the back wall). I'm taking a closer look at how far your speakers are from the back wall and how far they are directed towards the listening position - I'll try to experiment with that as well. Have you ever had tube amplifiers? What is your experience and rating? You are very mysterious Mr. X :)
I love tube amps for sure, but I don't know of any tubed 5 channel amps. Those absorbers on the side walls are there for the first and second reflections. Have someone take a mirror and hold it against the wall and move it until you see one speaker from the listening seat. Mark that spot and move the mirror until you see the other speaker. Mark that spot. Do it for each side. Those are your first and second reflection points. Try moving your panels on the back wall to those spots and see if it makes a difference.
Nice to see a fellow Linkwitz LX521 owner on here (RUclips)
