45 BHP Apache RR310 Race Bike: TVS Chief Race Engineer Spills All The Secrets

- Who likes race bikes?
This is the TVS Apache RR310 One Make championship race motorcycle - a bike so heavily modified that almost nothing on it is stock, except perhaps the overall silhouette.
It runs on better tyres, the engine is completely redone, better brakes, tuned suspension, it is very light, better ergonomics and what not.
With a lot of convincing in the middle of the 2020 national motorcycle championship (December 2020), I managed to get Ram Mohan, TVS's Chief Race Engineer, to spill all the details about this motorcycle and changes that they have made from the road going model.
If you'd like to see the even more radical motorcycle TVS has built on the Apache RR310 platform, check out their Pro Stock motorcycle here: • TVS Apache RR310 Pro S...
And if you'd like to see how TVS won the 2020 national championship with that bike, you must watch this: • How TVS Won The 2020 N...

Thank you so much for giving me your time. I hope you have a great day.
Cheers
Abhinav enquires everything in such a way that even if I don't understand some topics ,I like to hear about them...
🙏
@@abhinavbhatt dear Abhinav, can we expect to increase bhp from TVS. We keep requesting since long through our feedback form so many times. Hope through you TVS looks into our request.
Respect to TVS. Doing a brilliant job. Much love to Abhinav for bringing these in.
Thanks man
Damn the content is overpowered. So called motorcycle influencers should take some notes from abhinav
Totally agree !
I'm not an influencer by any stretch of the imagination. I am just a guy who likes motorcycles and shares whatever I find interesting with you guys. That is all.
@@abhinavbhatt those who love motorcycle and any thing that has wheels on them . You're an idol . Whenever that RUclips notification pops up we knew it's always something interesting . Thanks champ
Dam rite..
@Vidith Drew Who exactly are the "motorcycle influencers" according to you? Cause I'm pretty damn sure that's not even a thing. Just don't say whatever comes to your mind for the heck of it.
This channel is not for Chapri mods.. it's all performance 🔥🔥
😂yeh
Definitely
❤️
Thats true broo
Yeahhh 💯
Finally nice to see an educated content creator in the Indian motorcyle scene. Otherwise one just gets to see the "mai toh vloggger huun" types. Great stuff @Abhinav Bhatt!
Thanks a ton.
Abhinav: Let's find out from the engineers at TVS what goes in this bike.
Also Abhinav: Abe Ruk, main batata hoon teri bike mein kya hai?
Hahahaha
Holy crap this bike is awesome, and TVS has people who actually know their shiz
Absolutely.
Glad to see a true Indian company building stuff that's up to the mark. Also being a chief Race Engineer, he is very down to earth! and Abhinav knows how to get the secrets out haha.. Great job !
✌️
I own an RTR200, 2017. Took a test ride of latest 200 and there are so many improvements including engine refinement.
I am sure some of it is owed to TVS racing program.
Wish TVS builds a small 300-400cc twin cylinder engine. It will be mine.
Fingers crossed 🤞
I own the same however I love the raw power it generates
yess twin will reduce the Torque but makes it more smooth but we can make it perform better
TVS 🇮🇳 thanks for smoking out the other manufacturers. Abhi it’s extremely informative. Well done 👍
For a racing division chief engineer job, Ram seemed to be quite young, like a kid out of college! till we had a side angle view on and saw his grey beard :-) With all the passion he has, at TVS, he is a champ!
This guy is informative
He is TVS's Chief Race Engineer. He better be informative 😂
@@abhinavbhatt 😀
That was a really smooth interview. So much information and Mr Ram Mohan was able to convey all of it in a very precise manner to understand.
Some rare videos available on RUclips ❤️
Specially in India ❤️
Pretty damn informative... This is the kind of insight a bike enthusiast needs..
And I'm glad TVS showed faith on me to share this with you all.
Wow. I just stumbled upon on this content. Abhinav surely knows things about bikes. Ram told less than what abhinav had figured out already. Awesome bro ❤️
After years! Someone is asking all the good questions! I love how Abhinav knows his stuff and really wants to get the right info out there!
Firstly, thanks Abhinav. Hats off to the YVS Racing engineers...their know-how and race research knowledge gets transferred to their on-road motorcycles too. Kudos TVS Racing. 👏🏽👏🏽
The Best interview in the history of motorcycling
THAT 45 BHP EVEN MORE THAN RC 390 WOW
Torque??
This guy earned the sub without asking for it. Rare these days.
1:07 that Baleno I loved it
Finally I've found someone who really has the knowledge. 🙌 .
These two guys know what they are talking about.. very cool
Meanwhile Karol Baugh shop owners: bhaiya ye sc project ka first copy hai pura 50+ HP gain 😂😂
Hahahha
🤣
Red spark plug cable will increase further 1% performance
@@desirandomstuff sometime it does but only of split fire or NGK not Karol Baugh 😂😂😂
Point 😀
Boy I'm loving this technical content!
Yes it is definitely a good machine to ride in the track. I’m happy enough to set a lap record on it in the 2020 season with a 1.55.662 but was stuck with hard luck and too many ignition switch failures and had to retire many races with the failures and I was the one you were referring to in the last corner 😅😅. Anyways great video 👍🏻
Ohh. Please share a bit more in that case, brother. What does the acceleration feel like, how is the braking, how is the turn in? How does it compare to the stock, if you have ridden it? Are there vibes? I'm sure people want to know these things first hand from a rider.
@@abhinavbhatt 2020 was my 2nd year in RR310 Cup and I've personally felt the bikes were quicker in acceleration than 2019 and with tvs eurogrip tyres they handle quit upto the notch. The braking is pretty good, can't compare it with stock as I've not ridden a stock RR310. The turn in into the corner and the mid corner the bike just sticks around without any unsettling.
Thank you.
I feel so proud that these two gentlemen showing passion towards the motorcycle given that the motorcycle was manufactured entirely in India expect for few outsourced parts . India is going to another level and I’m loving it ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I wish TVS would one day mass produce the litre class motorcycles to the world, cuz we’re already there and it just has to be executed.
If the number of enthusiasts participants for becoming a race engineer or a race driver goes up, one of the main reasons for this will be Mr. Abhinav Bhatt.
🙏
These kind of videos are the proof that Quality attracts less customers!
Enjoyed every small detail. Hope to see more videos like this.
I'll try.
The video is the greatest flex of all time .
Thanks Abhinav for covering the uncovered
✌️
Came here to watch a glimpse of 45bhp RR310, ended up subscribing the channel. What a video, and kudos to the TVS racing team.
Those 80.2K subscribers of yours are serious petrolheads.

Next video.
I was very sure about the bhp from the start 🔥
I am amazed by these interviews , I think as a biker there is a lot of things we can learn here , thanks Mr Abhinav and keep them coming
By the way I have a question that KTM 390 should be run with 95 octane fuel due to high compression
Sir you have a lot of experience tell something about that
Sir, I had a KTM 390 Adventure and I had no problems with regular fuel.
am just intrested in the Baleno thats behind the engineer
First video im seeing on your channel, and this got me to subscribe immediately. Top notch content.
those bikes in the background at 5:48 :o
Keep them coming.. Love ur videos.. To the point.
130 is a feather with that power. A true racetrack tool.
thankyou brother for providing this vedio
, it could the most awaited vedio for a apache fanboi

Ram Mohan can be a part-time cricket commentator. Such nice articulation
Absolutely.
Woah!! thats so much stuff there that need to be consider. Very informative video.
Good job man.. and that baleno in the background is 🔥

@@abhinavbhatt this video and other ones just earned you a Petrol head subscriber. Godspeed
You know a lot Abhinav bhai
Thanks
Other bike manufacturers should start participating.
Honda does. Shame that Bajaj, Yamaha, KTM keep away.
@@abhinavbhatt honda does? What do they race activa 7g.😂😂
But seriously what do they race cbr 250s are discontinued.
I've heard they bring 250rr for racing purposes but not sure.
They race the CBR150 and the NSF250R almost-Moto 3-spec bike in their one make championship
@@abhinavbhatt ohh i see thanks for the info.
9:48 Abhinav- "I'm not gonna name the rival manufacturer"
10:14 Ram Mohan- "So yeah, these outperform the BridgeStone Battle Axes"
Hahahaha. I was actually talking about the MRF slicks.
Abhinav Bhatt aha!
This is incredible content Abhinav. Great stuff
Thank you.
Brilliant detailing
You should have ridden it. The tip in and mid corner stability is amazing.
No way would they let me ride it in the middle of the race season.
A 310cc single cylinder bike with 45bhp just wow ♥️🤘
Hi Abhinav...what abt the upgraded impulse with large piston that you showcased...any update on the same.Real test figures
I have been travelling. Waiting to ride it. Maybe this Sunday.
will the tvs solve the issue of engine malfunction ,close throttle etc in 2021?
how I started my automobile company? watched Abhinav's videos for a year
😂😂
Eagerly waiting for tvs 600cc superbike😍😍😍❣😎
Amazing👍 lots of information that most people won't understand.
I think you should have also ask about aerodynamics of the bike.
So much love for you dude♥️
Still awaiting to see r15 on track
A long time away.
Rearest quality content.
Thanks
Make video about rc390 racing modification aslo r3.
Won't be possible now. I shot these videos in December.
Tvs should have used their own engine with their R&D. This bmw engine is lot viby. Great video
Why don't they bring this bike officially like Duke's and RC
I'm a TVS fan boy
@LALRAMCHHANA LALRAMCHHANA ZOTE ROFL .. I personally own a RR 310 Bs4 model .. Mine is 35 Bhp .. this is 45 there is a much difference
Fuel economy, emissions, reliability, etc😅
Thank You 🙏
Very informative, very technical...👍 Thanks for this video 🙏
✌️
Man!! How did you gain these much of knowledge about automobiles??
Would you like to share your sources and inspirations?
Please also tell abt KTM & yamaha bikes if possible
Won't be possible as of now, but will show you a Honda bike soon.
Good to see someone who actually know tf they talking about
Damn so much technical education
Can we do the same handlebar adjustment from the showroom for more aggressive posture
Underrated video🔥⚡⚡
Waiting for the next video sir... sounds awesome and interesting...wow...excited💯❤️🔥
Sure, sir. Next one on the RTR200 race bike.
Awesome video sir. Can I visit him to repair my RR310 because the service centers in Mumbai are not able to resolve my bike issues from 2019 from the month I brought it.
I don't think so brother.
@@abhinavbhatt ok sir. Keep up your work. You make very informative videos.
Thanks
Wish tvs make a enduro dual sports bike with the same engine 😃
Oh yeah.
After a very long wait here comes a youtube channel which is actually making educational automotive videos. ❤❤
Nahi to jise dekho vlogging krna start krdete hain!😤
awesome coverage.. I hope you keep growing :D
Thank you
I want more of race prepared bikes 😍
I got two more coming. ✌️
Thank you. Very informative video.
Glad it was helpful.
keep doing it man
The RR310 can be a good competition to KTM rc390 if the TVS gives this engine in stock bike.(and increase the price a little bit).
Not so reliable for road use thats the point bro
Information at peak 🔥 👌
Always.
Next Video on Yamaha R3 from National championship.
Won't be able to do that. Sorry.
exclusive content love it need more
Sure.
Awesome 👍 thanks ABI bhai
I think tvs should make their own engine instead of sharing with bmw.
If it happens it produces some more power in production bikes, price will be lesser then now,and it will be a real compatetor in the segment.
Wtf 🤣
Loved him true Engineer ❤️❤️
This is true content🔥
RC390 doesn’t even have to try to be on track . It does all that even better than that in stock condition
Abhinav is there a steering damper too in this motorcycle?
Last video had one but it was left undisclosed
No, I did not see any. And I just revisited the close up shots I took and am not at liberty of releasing ;)
@@abhinavbhatt 5:36 in the last RR Prostock video
That telescopic hydraulic cylinder thing must be steering damper
Yeah. The pro stock bikes have a damper, these one make don't.
only Abhinav ! awesome work buddy!
Thanks, Glen :)
Missing your subtle reviews on PD! Make a comeback!
Now the only content remaining is I guess ECU remapping ...hope we'll get to see it too here !
Naah. Too complicated for me. I'll probably show a custom map on a tuner or something when I can.
Abhinav: very informative vlog u are doing a great job 👍👌
I want the xpulse 223 review with new bores and piston that u have showed last month if it's ready then please review it
I'll shoot the bigger XPulse soon.
Love your videos
Thanks buddy
I think rims are same from rtr 160 , 1604v and 180
These are Racing Boy rims from Thailand.
bhai race track pr rubber ke liye ek vehicle hota hai usse bhi wo kam ho sakta hai ma mene drag race video me dekha tha... or track ke liye high octane petrol se different hota hoga ki normal thik hai
When compression ratio of engine is increased , normal petrol will get burnt due to the higher compression which results in heating. So even before the spark plug creating a spark the fuel will get burnt which isnt a good thing. Thts y high octane fuel is used which can withstand the temperature due to high compression and will blast only while spark plug is activated.
So the thing is the fuel used depends on ur compression ratio.
Thts y road legal sports bikes many of which need high octane and normal bikes need normal fuel.
I hope ur doubt is cleared🙏🏼
A moto ficou bem feita! Aqui no Brasil 🇧🇷ela é vendida só pela BMW!
