Hilarious! The Nazi stuff is another way the Stooges influenced the punks. Just astounding how influential they were. Great to see Ron talking, Jesus, his guitar work changed rock and roll!
I got to meet Ron and Scott backstage at the Astoria. Scott was very quiet which seemed to be his way but Ron was totally different and made a point of coming over and having a chat with Me. They even shared their beer. Great guys, sadly missed.
Top 3 most influential player ever easy for me. And he's right the SS Uniforms are still by far the coolest looking ever. Jimmy Page wore the SS jodhpurs with the boots and SS cap in '77 at their Chicago show. Best look he ever had plenty of pics on images. Still not as cool as Ron in that gear though.
when he said he was a kid and said the uniforms looked cool and he was like wow what is this it was like Cartman...don't forget Brian Jones wore it in the 60s when he posed with anita
Cool guy right there. He did look good in the Nazi stuff. When younger he was a handsome chap, coupled with his easy going, humourous way I bet he kept standing on the list of chicks phone numbers he had cos it was that long! RIP Stooge 😢
Remain in peace forever Ron Asheton (1948-2009) the greatest guitar player.
I met Ron once.He was a lovely guy who died way too young.
robin bailey he was 60. It’s not young. But yeah he’d be in his 70s by now.
I'm so glad he got to meet one of his heroes, Pete Townshend, before he passed. He told Pete, "Because of YOU--I'm ME!" What a sweetheart Ron was!
Such a godamn amazing guitar player!!
My favorite 🤘🎸
One of the greatest guitar player of all time. R.I.P. Ron
R.I.P Legend

Bikers were into Nazi paraphenalia post WW2 ... long before the Stooges ... that stuff was already out there in the Culture courtesy of returned vets.
British punks were a lot more influenced by The Stooges than american bikers
@@thevelointhevale1132 yeah ok but what rocker dude rocked it before Ron he did it before sid and motorhead
@@thevelointhevale1132 actually I take that back Brian Jones did it first
“It was just a kids thing” referring to his Nazi obsession is hilarious lol. Hell of a guitarist RIP.
Ron my favorite guitar player and there was never a cooler looking rock dude than Scott on the cover of their first album ❤️

Ron would of been cancelled if he was doing that now lmao
People have become too paranoid and suspicious of each other, always expecting the worst.
I agree with him the uniforms looked cool nothing to do with beliefs but also the "Hun" helmet from WW1 was cool too
He litterally says that in the video.

The MI accent
aww man they're both gone now. fuck.
I know right that shit is sad
Was he saying he would show up wearing the stuff to dinner at his Jewish girlfriends house and then said people would find that weird now 😅
