Elp soundcheck. Ive been backstage 15X. They have such a Big following that one time " aftershow" passes allowed us in the seat area of the Beacon Theatre 1997. Ian MacDonald was there- lol so basically almost 1/2 of King Crimson were there! Been a fan since 1973! BTW I know its 1993 as Lake was wearing the black leather jacket.. Saw them 3x just in Feb that year then twice in Nov.
I always wished they would have just hired a bass player and let him do what he's so amazing at - guitar. But hey, you can't criticize enormous success.
This was my to go band back in the day..i saw every tour..i truly miss this trio..they were Amazing to see in concert !!!!
Legends all three of them. What some brilliant sounds from Greg’s bass. He was so underrated as a bass player.
Geniuses at work 🎹🎸🎤🥁❤️
What a rarity. Excellent footage, thanks for sharing; Greg's acoustic guitar sound was fantastic.
Priceless footage.

I have to tell you these guys so cool. they are my favorite ,
Greg sounding beautiful on acoustic guitar.
Damn, that was beautiful indeed !!!
Two songs bring the water to my eyes every time.
Moon River by Henry Mancini and C'est la vie by Greg Lake.
Amazing songs both.

I would pay my admission for the sound check,!

The soundcheck was done on the stage of Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
Carl us pure percussion energy.
Even in soundcheck, the most beautiful voice
Thx very much for posting. I enjoyed this. I'm a big fan of these guys.
Could listen to Greg noodling all day!
3:44 to 3:46 reminds me to the end of Thick As A Brick part 1
RIP King
3:44 great effect👌
This is GREAT! Thanks for posting it. What's it from? Is there a DVD available with this on it?
And ELP play all the music, warts and all. Emmo ,
The coolest part of every drumset is always the gong.
All better now!

Where is Emerson?
He's on the Pt 01.
I don't think he needs to warm up.

Never was a fan of those trigger drum sounds. Why purposely make yourself sound like a drum machine?
carl has never sounded like a drum machine …. lol … what a childish comment
Envy that’s all
