Bangkok: controlled chaos!
Food: 24 hrs, within minutes of looking for it. Very delish and very cheap. Go to regular restaurants, not high end ones. Food courts or street food is most economical, e specially in Malls.
Always interesting to get perspectives from first-timers. Thanks for your honesty. I hope Thailand's vibrant (& super-creative) cafe culture will be internationally recognised soon. Just beware of those tuk-tuks around the grand palace. Some of them may say it is closed and offer you a tour somewhere instead (Lucky Buddha, jewlery shops and such). Anyway, welcome to Bangkok, the most visited city on earth (look up data compiled annually by MasterCard). On my final note, I was blown away by the food portions I experienced in Perth!

You should have 1 account for online shopping and transfer money to that account time to time for paying. We used that account to pay when we traveled.
