- Me and my buddies Andrew & @TheMrMobile went out to Mystic, CT with the new Apple iPhone 12 Mini to do a camera comparison with it, see how long the iPhone 12 Mini battery lasts throughout a normal day, and see how it compares to the other iPhone 12 models.

@Josh Kuempfel Its funny you should say this. Because I'm contemplating the 12 mini, and using an Xs rn, and that thing's battery (to me) is absolutely horrendous.

Got my 12 mini from a 12 pro. Love the small form factor and don’t regret switching at all. Hate carrying bricks in my pocket. Great 👍 video love the scenery
How is your battery life?
@@diablokendall1 pretty good. I’m a nurse so I work long shifts. Unplug 6am with moderate use to 8pm on average. It’s a sacrifice I’m willing to take for a more convenient form factor!

@KeepitMelo 41 "Normal" is subjective from person to person though. Like someone like me isn't a heavy user, hell I can't even be called a medium user. I use my phone as a phone and camera...streaming, gaming, all media I have my PC for. So basically any phone I use since the iphone 4 to different Samsung Galaxies have always lasted all day or longer, but I also am the type to always keep my phone charged and have a charger on standby at work, home and in my car.
@KeepitMelo 41 You're correct as well. And from what we can see they have done just that, especially apple with these different phones. A heavy user would probably do best getting the pro or pro max where as a not so frequent user would do fine on the mini or the normal 12. Like best example I've compared with my sister both of us have iphone 11s. She's a heavy user and I'm not. at the end of the day we compared our battery life and she was at 30% where I was still sitting at 85%. Even as I'm typing this, it's almost 12:30am and I just checked my iphone 11 and I'm sitting at 87%. So for folks like me, I could see myself probably getting through the day and possibly night on the mini before it dies, but a heavy user who uses their phone as their main source of media consumption and entertainment? They'd more than likely not even get through a single 8 hour work day, so getting the pro or pro max would more than likely be better for them.

A quick suggestion: is it possible to add the phone battery left like on the top left or right so that we could like see the battery drop as you vlog/review.

@@taualphanu2920 if you swipe down from the top it brings down the control centre and u can see the battery percent you can also do something in settings
@@littleleah5182 i think he meant to make the battery life percentage visible on top left or right of the video to see the draining process during the vlog.

Absolutely f*g brilliant David! Perfect subject matter for YOUR Real World Testing formula - even Michael's on board 😉 Think I've died & gone to heaven!! He led us to believe (sorry, watched his first) that Mini couldn't make it through the day - you blew that out of the water - 5% after midnight is fine by me. Loved the venue & the new team! Expect your travel wings have to be clipped by Covid for a while BUT, You have the right formula! Love it 😀

I think it’s a great phone. For those with small hands it’s an amazing phone. I have the iPhone 12 normal size and it’s amazing.
Put your labels a little higher so that when we zoom in for the wide display phones we can read the labels. Right now the labels when i zoom in just disappear which is a little frustating. Plz fix this.

First time owning an iPhone (iPhone 12) and yes, all photos have this exaggerated yellow tint. it's not just warm which is far from the "real" color.

You should compare the iPhone SE 2020 with the Samsung s20 FE, they are cheap smartphones with technical specifications of the high-end ones, and they are the "special edition" of each brand
I just hope there will be really slim majorly small upgrade battery cases. You don´t need like 6000 mah battery cases a slim 500-1500 mah would already fix the battery issue for me i usually maximum need 5 hours screen on time for a day.
I’m getting mine this week!!! My moms upgrading my iPhone 7 to this (had a iPhone XR before the 12 mini and It died after 1 yr. (granted I’m rough with my stuff. But the camera on the xr really was better than the 7 but I can’t take good pictures with the XR plus I try to get into vlogging and feel like the 12 mini is a better phone for that. Also I have baby hands 🤣)
I'm a very light user, my SE 2020 lasted 2 days at least without the need to charge, can I expect the same here?

Considering that your usage want typically heavy, I'd still say the battery is on the smaller side, which is, obvious. I like the idea of Mini, and it might have been my personal favourite flagship (it's basically a flagship) this year, but the battery is a huge downside, which, you know, I'm pretty sure Apple could've gone for at least something like 2500-2600 mah easily. I think it's 2200 something right? I think a 400 mah jump would've meant a lot. Great video as always though, Mr Unlockr

Great video. I wanted to buy iPhone 12 mini just today but was put off by this newly discovered issue with the touchscreen not working with case and screen protector on.... any thoughts on this?
Fixed with 14.2.1 ios update today
