Hey mate, just want to give a quick message as to how helpful you and your channel have been for me over the past couple of years. I'm a second year Mechatronics Engineering student at Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia and stumbled upon your channel early last year while trying to learn some Inventor features that I needed for a CAD project. I binged your videos that night, learning as much as I could and ended up getting a high distinction for that class largely due to the help your videos provided. While there may be some creators out there that share the same information in their videos as yours, your witty humour provides for an entertaining watching experience which I believe plays a big part in how well the information sinks in as I don't find myself zoning out like I would for a professor droning on in a monotone voice. I was a film student for a year out of high school because I wasn't sure what I wanted to pursue as a career but I found my calling in Engineering. Thanks for helping me pursue my dream. As long as you're still making videos, I'll be subscribed!
Thanks for taking the time to make and post this video. I was looking to do just this (of course) but also learned you can drag a plane from a surface for a new sketch. Wish I'd known that all along. Handy. I'm informal user and not formally trained and had missed that feature. Thanks again.
Hey this is great and are you still going to do the every button explained videos. Also thanks for the videos I've learned a lot and now I'm the best in Inventor at school.
Hey Mate I really like you videos you are awesome QUESTION on a sheet metal part if you have 2 parts when you put a rip in there When I go to flat pattern I get 1 part how do I switch to the second part thanks
There is no answer to that, depends how much of the car is modelled and using what program. I have a car assembly and it's around 1GB but others could be smaller

I didn't even know that I didn't know how to do that before I saw this video! These videos have been super useful over the past few months!
That is super handy! The quick tip video is a nice idea too.
That was short and simple thank you so much
You can make the dome tangent on the cylinder end as well if you are looking for a smooth transition. It can also be weighted to change the curve.
Thank you so much, literally just spent hours trying to figure this out *works in fusion360 too...
That's something they should add as a standalone option. Like in SolidWorks.
Thanks for the video!

How much space would I need on a NAS to store a 3d car assembly?
There is no answer to that, depends how much of the car is modelled and using what program. I have a car assembly and it's around 1GB but others could be smaller
