best story you can bring up when it comes to borrowing is Abraham being thrown in the fire. The midrashic account interprets "Ur of the Chaldeans" as "fire of the Chaldeans,""Ur of the Chaldeans" is mentioned in the Hebrew Bible (Genesis 11:28, 11:31, 15:7, Nehemiah 9:7) as a place and not as a fire - but Ooor in Hebrew means fire so they didn't know that Ugaritic language and didn't catch it was a Lone word. Archaeological evidence confirms that Ur was a real Sumerian city and even Stephen in the New Testament new it was a city , this aligns with its historical context. The Quran's inclusion of the fire element is based on a mistranslation or misinterpretation of the biblical account. The Rabbis in the third or forth century literally made a pseudo historical story about Abraham being saved from the fire to fill in the gaps, and then Quran repeated it - you won't find that story before common era period of Abraham being saved from fire- the first appearance is in this Pseudepigrapha and it's word for word plagarizm- ---Be cool my servant etc..
