Around 31.20 the presented implies that it is hard to see how reproducible research could be done in an editor that cannot interact with the OS. In the past I would have agreed with this, but I a world where you can launch bespoke VMs/Docker containers at a hosting company via the internet I think it is perfectly feasible and maybe even a more robust solution, not to have to reply on the local OS.
Martin Clausen I am interested in hearing more on this subject. I think you are still relying on the OS. My guess is through Bash Scripts which are not as readable but I don't know everything and I would like to learn more. :-)
I find it funny this talk does not provide links to the slides,
so search it and here it is:

What's the name of the emacs theme? It's pretty.
My awesome brother !!
How is this presentation made though?
It's made with reveal.js! You can create it with org mode easily
Interesting and important talk about reproducible research. #emacs #orgmode

Great talk. However it's Errett Bishop (not Everret)
Excellent presentation! We will be asked to submit the data and syntax codes along with our manuscripts very soon, yes in social sciences.
Am I the only impatient one on the planet?
The irony that he is using a non-free operating system on closed hardware!
Exposing the academic mafia....!
Very Interesting!!!!!!!!!!
This talk would've been significantly better if the timeslot was 5 minutes
