Hi, in this video I attempt to fix 3 Apple watches purchased faulty from eBay. One heats up, one is water damaged from swimming and one is locked. All of them are Apple Watch Series 6 and are 40mm.
Will any of them be fixable or will they end up in the parts bin?

Remember that this is just for entertainment and I am not an expert in these repairs. The processes in the video may not be the best way, the correct way or the safest way to fix these things. I do love fault finding and trying to fix broken things, so I hope that comes across in this 'Trying to FIX' series. Many thanks, Vince. - Хобби

Amazing work, Vince. I very much doubt I could have soldered those tiny wires, that thing would probably have ended up in the bin! Fantastic perseverance! All the very best for 2024! 🎉
Thank you Steve, wishing you and yours all the best for 2024 too!!!
i just came from Steve's mini-console video to this video, seeing both of my fav youtubers loving each other in the comments section. Oh the spirit of christmas lives on. Happy new years to both of yous!
U both need to do a series together
I would have bet good money you would have gone zero for three when you put "Apple watches" and "repair" in the same sentence. Thank you for proving me wrong! Happy New Year!
Deep respect for getting those wires soldered.💪🏻 I would have trashed this thing 🤣
Just an unsolicited thought. Wrap the exposed edges of your sharp spudger with some electrical tape or at least a couple layers of masking tape. You may also consider stiffening it up by taping it to you stiff spudger leaving 8mm or so exposed to penetrate and pry with. I acknowledge you got it without these thoughts but surely taping up the edges rather than slicing one's fingertips would be preferable. Keep up the great work and being an inspiration.
Hi Vince, you are a prime example that training makes a master. You are getting better and better each time you fix something. I wish you and your family all the best for 2024.
It was so nice and a pleasure meeting you! Thanks so much for everything ☺️
Likewise Hayley!!!!!
I repaired a lot of iPads and iPhones in the past but I stopped years ago. This kind of videos make me enthusiastic again
Arguably your most impressive repair Vince! Miniaturization magic! Top job.
My best repair this year was saving my dishwasher....you inspired me to take a punt....thanks Vince 👍👍👍

LOL
im very impressed how you didnt damage these extremely fragile OLED displays and managed to do that digitizer solder job without breaking the screen and it actually working. well done mate
This Apple Watch Repair was nutts...insane....you are a genius !
It’s been a while since I watched your repairs - I didn’t stop liking them, I guess I just ‘had my fill’ after seeing you do so many. I was curious when I saw that you’d attempted to repair an apple watch though, so I decided to have a look, and wow… Amazing work Vince! You made it look so easy, I’m super impressed! Never would have thought a repair like that would even be possible, it gave me a big smile when I saw you actually using the watch after. It’s also nice to see that your commentary is as pleasant to listen to as it always was. Thanks for continuing to share your repairs with us!
Meatloaf "2 out of 3 ain't bad"
Great fix and even better micro soldering, the dedication and patience you have shown has put you on another level, hope you had a good Christmas and wishing you and your family a happy New year 🎊
Hi Vince I been watching your videos for a long time and I really like your videos and I love your videos
Amazing video, as always! Thank you for the videos throughout the year! Happy new year, Vince! Wishing all the best to you and your family!!!
Thank you for all the excellent entertainment this year, Vince. Happy new year and best wishes to you and yours.
Your skill at dealing with all these stupid glues and tapes without breaking anything is getting really impressive! I wonder if applying low melt to each pin then low temperature hot air (warm air? 🤔) would be enough to remove those connectors or if they would melt first?
Thanks Jessica, maybe it would have worked. Annoyingly there was also a ground solder point under both the left and right hand side near the front of the connector that the soldering iron couldn't reach, so even with low melt on the other accessible solder points I think it would have still struggled to come off.
@@Mymatevince I think it is done by using a heat pad under a screen to 120 C and then gently with a heat gun you remove this connector
Vince you are a solder wizard!! Great job on fixing these watches. Best wishes, for the new year, from the USA!
Happy New Year Vince - thank you for entertaining me, and encouraging me to try to fix things myself. Your encouragement is working 🙂
Sound job Vince and happy new year👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Wow, Vince! Well done! Soldering those tiny wires and using the solder mask was brilliant. Happy New Year!
Amazing work, I enjoy watching your videos, keep it on.
Maybe consider feeler gauges for prying tiny seams open?
All the best ,mate!
Nice one ,All the best Vince
You Sir are and absolute GOD of Repairs, you certainly inspired me to start my own channel , as i used to fix things before youtube even existed!!
Thanks for that and happy new year!
Bravo! 2023 was the year I discovered your channel, and I've found it inspirational and enjoyable - I like to watch your fixes while I'm doing some tinkering of my own 😊

Happy new year to you and all of your family all the best 😊
One of the best fixes I've seen. Brilliant
I would love to see more apple watch repairs. I would not have had the fine motor skills to fix each individual wire. Getting a new screen would be easier. Super effort mate! Happy New Year!
Vince, your skills are absolutely remarkable! Good going mate! Happy New Year!
Well done Vince good job. Wishes you a happy new year to you and all your family i have been watching all your videos from the start you have grown a lot over the years in fixing things. I live in Australia 🇦🇺 God bless you

Great job! Much efforts but worth it!
Hi Vince. Nice work. A tip for you - I wind some masking tape around my finger, and / or or stick a layer or two on my palm to stop damage from edged on opening tools etc.
Nice work Vince.
Happy new year Vince, thanks for all the videos 😎👍
Great job as always Vince, Keep the videos coming. I hope that you and your family had a great Christmas and will have a Happy New Year.
Impressive final fix there! Patience, perseverance and above all skillzzzzzz 🏅
Awesome Job Vince!👍 Great respect!👏👏👏 I've soldered small stuff before but perhaps not as small as that! I think I would have just replaced the screen but you did a great job! Have a great new year!🎉🎉🎉
Amazing work! Though this undoubtedly tells me that I don't really want to work on those...
Great watching you Vince, a happy New Year to you and your family!
Amazing work Vince. Happy New Year to you and yours.

So tiny but a really great work. Happy New Year.
Well done vince great repair happy new year to you
That's awesome! I know that those trace wires are tiny and you struggle, but to me you make it look easier than it actually is. 2/3 isn't bad! Hope you had a wonderful holiday season!
Well done! perseverance pays.

Great work once again Vince and happy new year to you and your family
Love the work on this, what a great result, you can get covers in colours & glass protector for the watch that protect it from scratches & make it look new, they only cost a few quid. Amazing inspiration!! Thanks for posting
Great fix Vince what a hard solder job but well saved from ewaste enjoyed this fix
Happy new year Vince.
Fantastic fix, all the very best for 2024
great video vince happy new year to you and your family hope 2024 brings you lots of fixes and profit love to you all
😊 awsome fix. That takes a lot of skill and patience. Im impressed 👏
Nice work
Good job mate 👍
good work that man. HOw interesting about solder mask, never ever heard of it before
Very well done Vince- there’s no way I’d attempt soldering those. I had some success repairing my old series one after I ripped the sacredness sensor - that I’d not seen as I pryed the screen up, replacing the battery. They are fiddly little yokes! Happy new 2024- I’ve only found your channel about 8 months but I’m a fan of you varied work and exploits.
Good fix
Well done Vince!
Astonishing… I’m genuinely impressed with this!!!😮
That is a very impressive fix on those wires , incredible skill to accomplish such a minuscule connection 👍
Outsatnding!
Well done Vince, really interesting video. All the best for 2024.
Wishing you and your Subscribers a very Happy 2024 Vince
Wow. It's nice to see someone win against Apple
Amaizing Vince... love your channel. Keep up
Thank you!
I can't even solder a 2mm wire, so no comments on your soldering off my side!
Good job done, not many people are able to fix an Apple watch. And happy new year to you and your family too!
Wow amazing work Vince!
Happy New Year to you and yours!
I used to do iPhone screen refurbing and you do need quite a lot of gear and it’s expensive. That being said it’s so satisfying to do.
Awesome job my man!
10 out of 10 vince.
