counterbalance mod solves the recoil issue, then you can max range
Recoil isn’t an issue on a handcannon. And I would never waste an Icarus mod slot on counterbalance

It MAY not have the best stats, but this thing just FEELS so snappy and accurate vs all other HCs.
Its the 90 aim assist, every shot just hits, its so satisfying
@@aarondevries6663 certainly a major factor yeah, but Fatebringer has better range, handling, stability, and 85 AA and feels less satisfying. Stats are stats, but sometimes a worse gun can feel better than others, and a god-roll perfect weapon feels awkward and slow.
if any hc feels snappy or crisp its Kept Confidence that hand cannon its like liquid suuuuuper smooth imo thats the strand 140 HC for those who don't know

As a PVE purest I kind of want to get explosive payload in kinetic trimmers, so far I got a brave role and it came out with Firefly and kinetic trimmers
Got one with full bore, accurized, explosive, opening with range masterwork. Will try it in pvp tomorrow
I never use hand cannons but I got a shiny with Firefly/Moving Target and Desperate Measure/Opening Shot. I’m slowly becoming a hand cannon main. This weapon feels so good
Speaking of hand cannons - have you looked at West of Sunfall recently? It's being unsunsetted now, and it has the *best base range, best aim assist, and best magazine size (15)* of all the 180 kinetics. Not sure when they upped the mag; it used to be 11. Been testing it out and it absolutely slays in crucible.

Or you can craft a High Caliber + Eye of the Storm + Zen Moment Austringer. It has by default more range, and way more stability. If MC was a lightweight like Rose, it might be good cos of the bonus movement speed. Right now , it looks like a PVE weapon cos of KInetic Tremors + Firefly + Chromatic Fire (Warlock chest) = triple explosions.
Anyway, are you gonna use this gun in Trials this friday?

The Rose is way better than this to me. However. I understand. Not everyone is into comp. So I guess might be a “little” easier to get. But the rose is way better. I have a phenomenal roll on my rose I got a couple weekends ago, finally. But this gun looks and sounds cooler. Wish they buffed the range some more and didn’t stiff it. Sick of Bungie bringing back weapons or reissuing them with old stats knowing the range sucks on them in this sandbox. HC’s NEED range.

I have a roll that I actually prefer over my Rose. That said, crafted Austringer and Kept Confidence feel better than both.

@@michaelvalentine6389 this. I have a 5/5 on both and prefer Midnight Coup. It’s probably just a preference/what roll someone has of each but I personally say Midnight Coup feels better. That said, I still say that the fully crafted Austringer is the best handcannon in the game right now. Also, when we get to enhance the perks or Midnight Coup and Luna’s Howl they could both EASILY overtake Rose and Austringer and be the two absolute best.
@@michaelvalentine6389 rose still slaps. I got a rose with 78 range roll with rapid hit, making it quite manageable. Not sure if your on the sticks, but on M&K, rose still wins.

One for all / rampage and firefly in pve is fun. But the recoil is a big issue. Sunshot felt farrrrr better and consistent. It felt like this took longer to return to the center of the screen after firing, making the accuracy feel horrible
I remember when doing trials 2 weeks ago we matched with you and ifrost, I ended up killing you once, lol so proud. I'm a PVE player trio flawless VOW in 37 min.

Never really cared for midnight coup. I actually wish they brought back inaugural address. Why would I want to grind for a midnight coup when I have a god roll Rose and luna?

I know this isn’t gonna be better than rose but this was one of my favorite hand cannons from year 1 man. Bout to go crazy farming for it.
I’d best compare it this way: just like Rose in was in Season of Opulence(an easy temporary handcannon for people who didn’t have a Godroll Spare Rations), Midnight Coup is a really good temp for people who haven’t gotten a godroll Rose. This thing feels so good.
@@RachelOfArcadia could be that way but remember that even back in forsaken rose was used alot for comp sitting in top 5 with spare rations in top 3 alongside ace and nf/lh

Not clickbait, I got a PvP god roll and it’s actually insane. I’m normally one to say that vids claiming that a new handcannon is “the best” are full of shit. This Handcannon is not that clickbait. That said, Rose and Bottom Dollar are still my personal favorites, but Midnight Coup is easily my number 3.

the only thing salvaging it is zen moment, everything else its lacking in term of potential. An easy to use gun can only get you so far, theres a reason why sunshot is used so little in comparison to ace but an optimal player can just use sunshot for sheer outgunning the ace in every fight.

Agreed. I don’t see any benefit of this gun over Rose. Rose gives you the boost to mobility too. They should have made this and Luna’s 150 rpm so that there is a reason to go for them.

I got the god roll and he’s right, it’s actually worth it. I was skeptical back when they announced it but having gotten a phenomenal PvP roll I am a believer. This is coming from a girl who ALWAYS disagrees with most of the “The new BEST Handcannon in the game!” Vids.
Maybe should say if you LOVE hand cannons and there’s a type of Destiny player who’s a collector who wants at least one of every decent gun.

scatter nades are as broken as firebolt nades, which can bend around corners, fusion/magnetic nades which not only have 2 possible ignitions, but exotics/builds that can make them explode instantly. Tired of pvp people saying something is broken when they get put against it

I feel pain every time when bungie make a new HC with maximum 60+60 stats. 140 with less stability then 65-67 is useless on consoles. If you put all in stability - you will get 67 stab and 50 range. That's just bad. It is a mediocre HC. It's not worth a time to grind for PVP
