Welcome back. Sure have missed your videos, although do understand they are time consuming and not your source of income, so less important for revenue. But that's what always makes your channel great. The videos are always entertaining and informative and not cluttered with a bunch of unnecessary chatter. This video - all of them, really - is really a great way for those of us less able to reach far off places to learn and enjoy the different cultures. Thanks Brent and Ana for all of it.
Hey guys great to hear from y'all. Like some of the others we don't do Facebook, Twitter or instagramm. Thank you for sharing your adventures, we really enjoy your videos. From your fans in the central Florida swamps, 🐊stay safe we love y'all. 👍👍💕💞🐾
Hey my buddy - I hope all is going well with you and the family! I must admit I'm getting a healthy respect for you guys living in crock territory - having to watch out for them in some places we dive here too :) Thanks for the comment and will try to share more
Yes indeed - the coconut water is a blessing :) I think some of the ladies feared the water in their hair may not receive it as such - lol ! Anyway - such amazing lovely people on the Kei Islands. Thanks for the kind words Shamad
Hi Anna & Brent, Awesome to hear you are both well and have found paradise. Yes, I too miss the vlog especially Brents technical break downs, I think it's his humour that cracks me up. Hope to see you both again one day on the cruising waters of the World. Regards Alan & Kimberley.
Hey Alan and Kimberley - so nice to hear from you again and for sure we hope to meet you guys out there again some day! I'm fortuante you get the humour - it also gets me in a lot of trouble sometimes - lol! As for technical breakdowns - yes, I usually put out a tech vid when someone asks us a question related to some technical difficulty they may be having - it hopefully helps folks out a bit and makes for more pleasurable sailing Cheers my friend ... hope you both are having fun

LOL - so nice to hear from you again Don! I love your NZ / AUSSIE humour mate :D It is really amazing to experience such a hearty and genuine welcome like this. I was saying to Ana that for many on the island life is not easy and many of the folks have so little yet they are so happy in spirit, able to look beyond their own difficulties and reach out to strangers - I know many would take the last shirt off their back to help one in need. It's such an example of how they reach across cultures, beliefs and traditions to make one feel totally at home and part of their community. Cheers mate and hopefully we can share another soon - I've captured a lot of beautiful spots in this last week as we sailed north ... truly beautiful places they have here
We really love sharing them with you Sandy - as much as folks enjoy getting some of our travel experiences we also love that we can bring a smile to so many - it's a treasure in life when one is able to make another smile.
Dude,,,,,, you guys are great. I love your demeanor and your videos. And I must say,,,,, you have a very beautiful wife! I've only begun watching your videos and I am going to continue. Thank you Peter and yes, they sure do have so many beautiful islands here. We have just dropped south today to be in good internet for a day or two (AIRBOREI - beautiful) ... Balbulol in Misool and Wayag so far are at the top of my places in terms of beauty ... and we have also treasured some other smaller islands along the way. I always wanted to see Wayag and I'm really, really happy we made the effort to get up this far north out of season. We had beautiful weather - sunny skies most of the time and although blustery getting there, once on the inside it was just beautiful. I've seen so many photos and video footage of the place but somehow there is just NO WAY to capture it in reality - I was totally awe struck and still can't stop talking about it. Thanks for the heads up on Timor _ I should look into that! We have done some amazing dives and I'm hoping to get some of that further down as we sail for Wakatobi. Cheers mate
A true win for RUclips and a great loss for South Africa to no longer have such positive couple around. God bless and may you continue to live life so beautifully “full out”....😁
Cheers Frans - Yes, we really enjoy seeing the positive to life. There are x number of years to this life and then it's all over so why not live it to the full :) Cheers my friend - thanks for the nice words there!
Thank you Jose - I hope we can get another one similar from a different region. We are setting sail tomorrow morning south bound so will be visiting more traditional villages. The past while has been remote locations in Raja Ampat - incredibly beautiful place
lol - thanks for that Mike ! I guess I should put out a few more moves and give more islanders something to laugh about with us cruisers aye ;) Cheers my friend
Hey Guys, saw you when you were Cairns (also saw you on the Gold Coast a few years back). Was running to the fuel dock to say "Hi" but you were too quick. :) Hope to see you again one day you always bring a big smile to my face. Shane.
Aye Shane - I'm sorry we missed you! It's always difficult at fuel docks to greet folks properly because we need to get off for other boats but please do look us up next time we there. We met so many amazing people in Australia who are true friends to us now - We loved our time there and it was so difficult for us to say 'farewell'.
Thank you Pius - I had to cut it short on the video but it was a bit of an 'off the cuff / impromptu moment'. We heard 'Impi, Impi' over the microphone and next thing was they told me they loved the dancing and began an interview - LOL! I hope you guys are doing great and getting some good moments on the water ...
Keep em coming, I really don't mind if it is not regular, I am also happy with scraps especially if the scraps are so scrumptious, love you guy and happy to know that you are safe and happy, saw your son in another you-tube channel seems that sailing runs in the genes.
Thank you Joelene - very cool comment from you :) Yes, Terry is a sailing fanatic - he is good mates with 'the Wynns' on 'Gone With The Wynns' - I really love that couple! I think he also featured in the La Vagabond couples video / s and one or two other YT vids. Terry works for my cousin Kent at Just Catamarans - they are the Outremer Dealers for North America, they do warranty contracts for Fontiane Pajot, Hand over and warranty work for Leopard Cats in America and broker cats too. He started out doing technical work there and now is a broker for them - L O V E S his job which is great! Sailing has been a huge part of my family way before I was born, so we had little chance - lol! My uncle was doing intercontinental sailing as far back as the 60's, took part in the first Cape To Rio Race I think in 1971 - my father and uncle purchased many large monohulls and also built them in South Africa. We have so many stories! I eventually as a youngster gravitated to multihulls in the form of Hobie Cats (Ended up with a Tiger 18) which we sailed in the ocean off Cape point sometimes in some rather large seas and loved how it coped in strong conditions. It got me to thinking about bigger cats in the oceans at a time everyone was saying they are too dangerous - lol. Terry was sailing Optimists at the age of 7 and started on an inland lake known in South Africa as the windiest place - so he got some really good training in strong blows from a young age. His dream is to do what Ana and I are doing and I have no doubt he will ... I guess one could say 'salt runs in the veins' :) Cheers for now x
Oh never apologize for your vidios Impi no mater how infrequent. Great to see you guys still pushing on and in good health. Thank you for sharing your precious and wonderful memories with us. Cheers mate 🍻
Bret if you ever get tired of sailing you could always open a dance studio and offer lessons! Groove baby groove. Raising a glass to you return to RUclips cheers from a still warm Canada!
Those schoolchildren were simply wonderful and what a welcome!! We'll look to follow in your footsteps in just a couple more years - thanks guys, really enjoyed the video...
@@CatamaranImpi thank goodness the droughts over...Brent moves almost as good as impi in a blow...lookin a bit sunbleached there chap...more sailing vids, yay...cheers from NZ the home of the CUP
Was wondering where had you guys got to, good to hear you been enjoying yourselves to much to put out videos. You sure have covered some distance since your last video. Looked like the sand flys were bad in the last section of the video Brent...but my misses tells me that was you dancing. ..go son!
LOL - sand flies with the misses telling you it was me dancing - that's a good one :D Frank - we really are enjoying ourselves - there is just not enough time in a day for us unfortunately and would love to be sharing more vids.
I just looked it up, was that the re-enactment of Japanese soldiers who shot Sacred Heart Bishop Johannes Aerts, the Dutch Apostolic Vicar of New Guinea, along with five priests and eight brothers on July 30, 1942 in Langgur during World War II?
Yes, thank you so much for sharing that with us grant. I wanted to mention some of the history but thought to keep it along the celebratory lines and what the people did for us. I'm so glad you checked it out online and shared it here. By the way, the local folks in now way hold any resentment toward the Japanese for this - many of the local people here hail from Japanese backgrounds so it is really nice to see how folks get along here - Christians, Muslims and Hindi people all live together in harmony. I think there were issues in the 90's and since then they decided to get along. Very nice to see!
I don't do traditional social media apps like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc. RUclips is my only outlet for such things. At any rate, I've missed your videos and just happy to see you safe and having a good time. Look forward to seeing you next time whenever that may be.
I do understand that many people are not doing the social media thing like FaceBook etc. It's a lot easier for me to put up short vids there - I find I can share things quickly and be more 'in the moment there' which is why I do share on these platforms. I'm not sure how Instagram works since that is more Ana's baby - as is the IMPI Page. I tend to stick with CAT IMPI . I will try and keep posting here too and thank you for your kind words ... Cheers for now Brent
I wish we could put them out more regularly and thanks for encouraging us along! Love to hear from NZ - our daughter is living there now and she truly loves the country and how welcome she feels there ...
Thanks so much SV Wellstock. Heavy sea sailing is something we have been asked by so many not to publish as it makes folks fear doing this. But agreed - it is a challenge one faces from time to time over longer passages or especially when cruising regions out of season. The large waves you saw breaking (I just posted a glimpse of it and basically at the point we put the camera down to control the boat - lol ) was here in Indonesia between Misool and Sorong ! The seas in similar fashion to those of the Bass Straight stand upright mostly because of currents, strong winds and shallow seas. We very nearly deployed warps off the stern on this one when I started struggling to keep the boat straight down the waves - reminded me while we were out there why I would never be the sailor putting the bows of a catamaran into the waves and weather like we do on a monohull. Cheers my friend
Looks awesome, regretting I couldn’t do that leg with you. What a welcome hey so awesome, great friendly people. I’m impressed by those moves Brent wow man hey 😜
Aye Eui - we did invite you to join us and we were very sad you could not make it. I think this is one passage you would have loved ! Anyway - you always welcome to join us - we know you well enough to have you along on any passage now - but this was one of the easier ones and such a beautiful welcome! As for the moves - lol - thanks mate - that was the 'warm up' :D
@@CatamaranImpi Thanks mate, all is good here. Very close to getting my trawler running now. Raining today so looking forward to watching your other two Indonesia videos. Looks like an amazing place. :)
LOL - pleased you enjoyed the 'background footage' Peter ;) Thanks for the wishes mate - we will share more of this amazing country and I will try sneak in more background footage there aye :D Cheers mate
welcome back I was getting worried that your health like mine has not been been good wunderkind was severely damaged during a freak wind storm so my plans are set back again but always move forward fair winds and following seas #200 sv wunderkind
Thank you Brian (#200). I'm really sad to hear your beautiful Wunderkind took severe damage in a freak storm - that is tough stuff man! I'm just pleased you are ok - and at least you are alive and able to get your plans moving along again, even if it takes a while. When you say severe - is it more in the rigging, the hull or the sails? So sorry my friend! p.s. we are going to head south west tomorrow am - its quite a long haul and I presume most island we will stop at along the way won't have internet so I may have a delay in replying, but I'm really interested to hear more about Wunderkind and what needs to be done to get your plan back on track
Aye thank you Shane - really nice to hear from you mate! It's truly insane how time is just flying by like this - we seem to be constantly 'in a dream' and it's so cool to be making friends all over the world! Keep in touch ...
Thanks Peter - yes, such beautiful people! I love how warm the folks are and how they want to bring you into their community and show you a great time. A real eye opener for us
Hi. First video of yours I've watched. Thanks. Welcome to Langkawi, I see your boat here in Rebak and have been loosely fooling u on Instagram. Rachel from SYS.
Dream For Sail - HI Rachel - wow - In the same Marina - so cool! Thanks for the comment and hope to meet you. Our kids are arriving so will be in Rebak for two weeks. I hope we get to meet you :) Cheers and please stay in touch Brent
Brent,Ana missed you both and the videos, just thought that some illness had befallen either of you, great you are both good, I will await anything from you, now and in the future, I fully understand your reasonings.John Wirral UK
Thank you so much John - we are so sorry to be slow in pushing out videos but between sailing, a 10 year maintenance overhaul on Impi down on the Goldcoast, getting our kids out of South Africa, Mum being ill and various operations etc. etc. it's been difficult for us to make movies. I kept rolling footage so have plenty to share - I just need to get time to put it all together :) Thankfully neither Ana nor me are ill and we so appreciate your thoughts over us. Cheers my friend Brent and Ana
You left to go cruising and you should do just that. If you have the bandwidth send us an update via RUclips, but focus on being out there. Now if you do have the time, I would love to know your exercise routine, as you both look good. But Brent...you need dancing classes...LOL.
@@CatamaranImpi Hi Ana & Brent Thanks for your reply . AH I thought the Welcoming ceremony was for the both of You . It looked like quite the production . Hope that the both of you are feeling OK .You both are looking well . Has the loudness while underway has it caused ya's to be hit with Tinnitus . I have it & at times it drives me crazy . Is Terry still living & working here in Florida ? Has he & his family been sailing lately with you on IMPI ?
@@bobshaw4063 Aye Bob - all good :) I'm sure had it just been Ana and me we still would have received a great welcome but for sure, they made it really special for the rally boats going through Indonesia. I do think wind noise and so on brings on a bit of Tinnitus - I actually was thinking about that the other day while sailing. It's not bad when we are constantly on the move but in really quiet places it can bother one a bit. Do you not think that it may help to listen to music if it's worrying you - Ipod with ear piece for example? You should maybe get that checked out a bit more. My late father complained about tinnitus and the doctor told him he was getting old. Then my dad complained he could not taste his food that well and later on some other symptoms. It turned out he had a brain tumor and passed away from that so I am always wishing we got him checked out sooner. Terry is still selling boats with Just Catamarans in Florida - he is doing well and loves it. I can't get over how many boats he sells actually - a great reflection on your economy! As for sailing - Terry joined us on our stint to New Caledonia and I asked him to come out to Indonesia with us, but the lad is way too busy unfortunately! Still - we love that the kids are happy in their new homes / countries - Terry in Florida and Jenna in New Zealand also doing so well there :) Thanks for asking !
Hi guys.. Are you kidding me? You have been in Indonesia and not ringing my bell?? Hummmm Where are you know? Pass Bali already or in plan? Do not hesitate Cheers
LOL - where are you Thierry? We just dropped down from Wayag and currently writing to you from Airboriei (Still in Raja Ampat) I am thinking to drop SW for Wakatobi to catch up with some diving mates there this week!
LOL - Sorry about that Phil - We thought after all this time we needed to do some explaining. I hope some of the inserts over the words were of interest ... cheers mate - have an awesome weekend
Brent/Ana, Your TRAVELS belong to YOU. Post videos when you feel like it NOT when others think you should. Exactly the reason why I would NEVER produce videos. Enjoy yourselves.

Terry was sailing Optimists at the age of 7 and started on an inland lake known in South Africa as the windiest place - so he got some really good training in strong blows from a young age.
His dream is to do what Ana and I are doing and I have no doubt he will ...
I guess one could say 'salt runs in the veins' :)
Cheers for now x
Great to see you two again.
Thank you Bayani
muy bueno Capt impi
Cheers Miguel :D
Good to hear all is well for you both and that you were able to share this video with us. Keep sailing and sharing with God's blessings in safety!
Thanking you Kleis
Oh never apologize for your vidios Impi no mater how infrequent. Great to see you guys still pushing on and in good health. Thank you for sharing your precious and wonderful memories with us. Cheers mate 🍻
Aye thanks Michael - awesome of you!
Bret if you ever get tired of sailing you could always open a dance studio and offer lessons! Groove baby groove. Raising a glass to you return to RUclips cheers from a still warm Canada!
So excited to see another video again!! Now I'd better watch it :")
Those schoolchildren were simply wonderful and what a welcome!! We'll look to follow in your footsteps in just a couple more years - thanks guys, really enjoyed the video...
@@kateadkins7087 - A pleasure Kate and certainly do sail in these waters if you get the chance. The people and the scenery - magnificent
Great to see you back Brent & Anna. Still my favourite sea captain. ha ha.
Ian - you are the man :)

@@Errol.C-nz Cheers for that Errol :) - and yes, we were / perhaps are considering sailing down to NZ for the CUP ... Cheers mate
Was wondering where had you guys got to, good to hear you been enjoying yourselves to much to put out videos. You sure have covered some distance since your last video. Looked like the sand flys were bad in the last section of the video Brent...but my misses tells me that was you dancing. ..go son!
LOL - sand flies with the misses telling you it was me dancing - that's a good one :D
Frank - we really are enjoying ourselves - there is just not enough time in a day for us unfortunately and would love to be sharing more vids.
Welcome back..
Cheers mate - appreciate that
I just looked it up, was that the re-enactment of Japanese soldiers who shot Sacred Heart Bishop Johannes Aerts, the Dutch Apostolic Vicar of New Guinea, along with five priests and eight brothers on July 30, 1942 in Langgur during World War II?
Yes, thank you so much for sharing that with us grant. I wanted to mention some of the history but thought to keep it along the celebratory lines and what the people did for us. I'm so glad you checked it out online and shared it here.
By the way, the local folks in now way hold any resentment toward the Japanese for this - many of the local people here hail from Japanese backgrounds so it is really nice to see how folks get along here - Christians, Muslims and Hindi people all live together in harmony. I think there were issues in the 90's and since then they decided to get along. Very nice to see!
Ohhh long time no see. Me very happy!
Thanks Anton :)
Урааа You are back
Keep it up Brent and Anna, it’s great to see impinsailing again.
Thank you Bayani
Glad to see that you are back!
Thanks mate
Cheers for now
Brent
I'm grateful of the time you spent on this videos. Great place seems to be be Indonesia. Regards from NZ
I wish we could put them out more regularly and thanks for encouraging us along! Love to hear from NZ - our daughter is living there now and she truly loves the country and how welcome she feels there ...
@@CatamaranImpi I wish her the best, and no rush for videos that the cool thing of been subscribed !
Oh! and some cool moves there Brent.
Thanks Don - dance is called 'Ants in my pants' - LOL
Top stuff!
Thanks Paul
Good to see you back on our tv again. I would love to see more of your heavy sea sailing you arer the man.
First time viewer's here ans what a great way to start, amazing video. Question for you, how often do they do these types of ceremonies?
Looks awesome, regretting I couldn’t do that leg with you.
What a welcome hey so awesome, great friendly people.
I’m impressed by those moves Brent wow man hey 😜
Aye Eui - we did invite you to join us and we were very sad you could not make it. I think this is one passage you would have loved !
Anyway - you always welcome to join us - we know you well enough to have you along on any passage now - but this was one of the easier ones and such a beautiful welcome!
As for the moves - lol - thanks mate - that was the 'warm up' :D
Quite the welcome!
Dangar Marine hey Stuart - awesome to hear from you here again mate ! Hope all is going well with the business back home ...
@@CatamaranImpi Thanks mate, all is good here. Very close to getting my trawler running now. Raining today so looking forward to watching your other two Indonesia videos. Looks like an amazing place. :)

Thank you Gordon - much appreciated :)
Great to see you back. Great background footage. Stay safe

welcome back I was getting worried that your health like mine has not been been good wunderkind was severely damaged during a freak wind storm so my plans are set back again but always move forward fair winds and following seas #200 sv wunderkind
It is good to see and hear from you again Brent and Ana. Good to see you are both well and enjoying life still.
Aye thank you Shane - really nice to hear from you mate!
It's truly insane how time is just flying by like this - we seem to be constantly 'in a dream' and it's so cool to be making friends all over the world! Keep in touch ...
So heart warming must make you feel so good , some times have tee in eye .
I hope we get to meet you :)

I kept rolling footage so have plenty to share - I just need to get time to put it all together :)
Thankfully neither Ana nor me are ill and we so appreciate your thoughts over us.
Cheers my friend
Brent and Ana
How is the best mouth of the year to visit Kei Island? When It often happen? Regatas for ALL from Brazil
You left to go cruising and you should do just that. If you have the bandwidth send us an update via RUclips, but focus on being out there. Now if you do have the time, I would love to know your exercise routine, as you both look good. But Brent...you need dancing classes...LOL.
Brent & Ana this was beautiful . Was the Welcome Ceremony done just for the two of you ? If so that is really really special
Hi Bob - nice to hear from you :)
The welcome ceremony was done for all the Rally sailors entering Indonesia and not just for the two of us.
@@bobshaw4063 Aye Bob - all good :)
I'm sure had it just been Ana and me we still would have received a great welcome but for sure, they made it really special for the rally boats going through Indonesia.
Still - we love that the kids are happy in their new homes / countries - Terry in Florida and Jenna in New Zealand also doing so well there :)
Thanks for asking !
Hi guys..
Are you kidding me?
You have been in Indonesia and not ringing my bell?? Hummmm
Where are you know? Pass Bali already or in plan?
Do not hesitate

LOL - where are you Thierry?
We just dropped down from Wayag and currently writing to you from Airboriei (Still in Raja Ampat)
I am thinking to drop SW for Wakatobi to catch up with some diving mates there this week!

I’m still in Bali !!
If you go far more SW you should touch here👍👍
Come there can show you around.
Apparently there were a heap of words spoken in the first 5 minutes. ;)
LOL - Sorry about that Phil - We thought after all this time we needed to do some explaining. I hope some of the inserts over the words were of interest ... cheers mate - have an awesome weekend
