This ship was making lots of money from the excess loading of passengers and cargo every voyage. Where was that ill-gotten money go? Why couldn't more ships and boats be purchased to alleviate the overloading. Was the owning company charged for overprofeteering at expense of people's lives?
These are very important questions, unfortunately the case was shelved. The information provided by legacy media and online sources only cover the events of the tragedy.
