    Hello Merrill, I believe that the half circle shaped metal thing you pulled out of the ground was an old brake shoe pad from an old car. And then you pulled out some other pieces of a vehicle of some sort, I'm beginning to think that a car may have hit that old tree hard at some time ago? car pieces everywhere.... plus, that's probably why the poor tree looks kind of strange? Wow, the place looks like Bottle Caps City, God bless you for cleaning up that monumental of a metal monster mess? and coins are always nice. At Ah boy Merrill. You're a good man. I dig your show! Signed, Greg the Egg.

    Loved this video! I've got a tree near me that reminds me of it.. old spot but nothing but pull tabs, and lots of them. Made me think someone else hit it and cherry picked everything that wasn't a pull tab signal. Now you've got me thinking of going back to clean it out.

      Hey Carolyne I just joined a network called Mediacube. Networks help push Contant out to give creators more exposure. I believe that this is a temporary thing and it should be back online today. I truly appreciate your generosity and patronage! I have been uploading to Metal Detecting NYC consistently since the beginning of 2019 which is almost four years ago (2019, 2020, 2021, 2022). I have uploaded 600 videos and 40% of them get less than 10 views per month. There is clearly something I’m doing wrong or that I can do better so when Mediacube reached out to me I agreed to give it a try. I can’t thank you enough and I appreciate your understanding!

    Hey MDNYC, do you document and submit that information on finds to the state in reference to the metal detecting license I applied for years ago? I never renewed it but wondered if you actually followed the protocol or just go out and do your thing? And have you been ever harassed or had your "paperwork" checked by anyone?

    • @MetalDetectingNYC
      @MetalDetectingNYC  5 лет назад +1

      DMac of Queens that’s the thing! And I’ve been there too! My favorite times to detect are when beaches/parks are empty. Mornings and evenings. Although I’ve gotten a lot more comfortable with it in public. That dorky feeling is what PREVENTS people from detecting. It gets better in time. Start in the summer and HIT IT HARD in the winter!
