StrikingScorpion82 Awesome bat rep, I love the games with a bit of narrative and non ‘optimised’ lists to create a bit of 40k atmosphere. Did you make your own pillboxes/concrete barricades or did you buy them? If you bought them, where are they from? Theyre awesome!
You had me at "No Primaris". Not dissing them outright, they're lovely models but I like the approach that you can play in the setting's "past" to have serious games with classic marines.
Want more FALL OF DAMNOS action? Two 2000pts Narrative Battles are coming to the PLUS Channel soon. Part 1 should be live late today or tomorrow!:) strikingscorpion82plus.tv
Loved the fall of Damnos. There is something so iconic about a imperial world built on a necron tomb world thats awakens thats so fascinating to me. I hope this apocalypse game it's not as lopsided as the actual battle. Maybe for another apocalypse game you could do a dead men walking scenerio.
Thanks. Yes totally agree....we wanted to use snow but not good on the figures and terrain. So played using better terrain setup and as campaign dragged on for months in the Lore...maybe there were some periods of thaw?! lol:) The two Damnos games on the PLUS Channel we do use snow terrain for that:)
@@StrikingScorpion82 I assumed it was past the point where the book ended, as Sicarius' 2nd Company never used armor throughout the book, Calgar was never present, and Sicarius was mortally wounded. Great setup nonetheless, looking forward to finishing this video!
Just want to say that I seriously love this channel even after only finding it last week. The games are really interesting and the way the armies are assembled and painted are fantastic. Keep up your excellent work.
Such a great bat-rep. I was really feeling for James with those ridiculous amount of successful armor saves the Necrons were making throughout the middle of the game, but he kept his eyes on the prize and walked away triumphant! Way to go James, as an Eldar player I had to root out ancient nemesis the Necrons in this one! Such a phenomenal presentation the armies, the board everything looked amazing, and definitley glad to see you guys going back to the normal rules set. I just couldnt really follow what was happening in the new Apoc rules. Spectacular return to a familiar format and cant wait for more narrative reports! Thanks guys!
Was waiting for you to comment lol. Glad you like the new format, and glad you enjoyed the game. From start to finish, for all of us this battle was more enjoyable, and has generally made a better video to watch I think. We have plans for more of these in the future:)
@@StrikingScorpion82 Haha! No problem Scorp I was super excited. I'd love to see Tyranids vs. Eldar in the Valedor Apocalypse campaign. I bought that book, its legendary, Prince Y'riel is the main hero!

Love the old rules. Do think one thing the new rules got right was not having each side go all at once, but instead exchange fire. I honestly think that rule should be in normal 40k
@@tribuneaurelius4669 because while somebody is shooting, you don't just stand there with your gun in your hand, you return fire. @@ironjawedangels2812 I've always thought the distances moved compared to shots fired is well off too. Been pondering on a rule system where each turn you get an action, move, or fire, or fight. How dare you. How truly dare you. Lieutenant colonel was it? Perhaps the bravest warrior in the whole battle. With the name of the Emperor on his lips and His wrath poised in his hand ready to be delivered unto foul enemies of His holy Imperium, charging the furthest his un-augmented legs could carry him with the fires of faith lending him strength and yet you mock him by saying vile lies as "he surrendered himself" and calling him idiot. He is a hero the Imperium clearly did not deserve! Finding himself on the very front of the battleline, with countless enemies before him, he did not waver, he did not run to safety among the Emperor's Angels. He saw an enemy and he knew he had a job to do. That he failed in this duty, against vastly superior foe is not a reason to ridicule him. That he charged so far and so willingly at the flank of the enemy force should be admired! Venerated! Learned from! For if only every child of the Imperium were to fight as he, I dare say we would need the Angels of Death. For with such faith, fury and dedication, what xenos nor heretic could even dream to stand before the true might of the Imperium? Report to your issued commissar now and accept the Emperor's mercy upon your soul, you vile slanderer...
Great game! Felt a little dizzy from all the camera movement but I love your narrative battle reports. You all seem like really cool dudes and I think you make the best apocalypse games on RUclips. Look forward to the next one.

Dude! This is epic!!!!! I wish you would do more flyby scenes with camera very low to the ground, moving throug the buildings etc, better music. Would be much more entertaining if you would show players interacting, to see their emotions. Still awesome
Absolutely great game. Been plannin 10k vs 10k with couple of friends of mine (I bring 10k of Chaos, they bring 5k each). Been just wondering how to mitigate the 1st turn massacre. (Also been lamenting how they probably have all painted armies, while mine are around 20% painted... 🤣) 2:09:45 The Dreadnought actually could have moved. It did charge, so it need not be within 1" to activate. It could Pile In, even if it couldn't get within 1" of an enemy. Then it would "fight" and following that it could Consolidate as well.
