Thanks for all the comments folks. Sorta trying to cope with the loss of my best bud via work so apologies for not responding to comments. In the meantime I may drop a few crude, unedited vids for your viewing pleasure. Well, back to work, take care all.

Wow. When we got our DRO everyone said you couldn't cut them under any circumstance at all, your either crazy, lucky or rich, if you like us, your probably the first 2 and not 3rd one 😆😆 we are mainly the 1st one 😆😆
We are impressed by your willingness to destroy expensive toys 🤣🤣😅🤣🤣🤣😅

I had to cut all three of mine as well (for a lathe/mill combo). I used a sabre saw on one, an angle grinder on another one and just a hacksaw on the last one.
They all work just fine! Squared them up the same way as you did. Mounting them though was a challenge. Especially the Z axis.
But finally all installed! Have fun with yours!!

Been thinking about this for my 6" atlas and a Benchmaster mill. Crude is better than I've been doing so just keep them coming.
