- The advanced design of our double bass transducer ensures the most optimal sound capture by mounting the piezo sensor in the bridge to faithfully reproduce the tonal depth and full dynamic range of the instrument. The non-destructive installation guarantees that the integrity of the instrument is preserved in the same form in which it was before.

I have had good luck playing with this pickup live through a graphic equalizer to help eliminate any feedback, depending on the acoustics of the venue. Also, have found a very warm sound for recording using the KNA DB-1 pickup and a Shure SM-57 microphone pointed about 8 inches from the f-holes.
What does it sound like on live like connected to a sub or amp? Thats what most people are looking for rather than hearing it through the computer /headphones
What was the difference with that second bass? it sounded a little clearer with the microphone but it seems to be going for a different sound. The clip sold me on it anyway lol Thank you
Looks like the second bass had gut strings. The first one appears to have nylon wound jazz type strings.
Not only instruments and strings are different. Left or right side of the bridge for piezo so it makes a huge difference in sound. A totally different sound.
I'm using Shadow SH-950 piezo pickup with my upright (only one side in the bridge, E string) but I think I'm gonna buy this one. I like more acousitc, clearer sound with KNA based on a few videos. We will hear in real how it sounds vs. Shadow.
