This pickup is slightly microphonic so you get a bit of acoustic vibe coming out of the amp

I cut a piece o f good quality masking tape and put that on the guitar first, then I work the putty a little bit with my fingers and stick it on to the back of the pick up and press that on to the masking tape . Painters masking tape will not damage the guitar finish .

I’ve got 2. I like the sound but first one failed first month, second lasted a couple years and failed. Really like them but doubt I’ll buy any more. Figure something else out

What does it sound like on live like connected to a sub or amp? Thats what most people are looking for rather than hearing it through the computer /headphones

The playing example sounds a bit muddy. I'm going to assume it's the way the amp is set and mic'ed up.

I have had good luck playing with this pickup live through a graphic equalizer to help eliminate any feedback, depending on the acoustics of the venue. Also, have found a very warm sound for recording using the KNA DB-1 pickup and a Shure SM-57 microphone pointed about 8 inches from the f-holes.
