  • How wound stitches really work
    When you get stitches, the needle and thread pull your skin together, closing the wound tightly. This helps prevent infection by keeping bacteria out.
    The wound may become inflamed, which is a normal part of healing. Inflammation brings cells that start repairing the tissue. These cells turn into new tissue and repair the wound.
    Some stitches even dissolve on their own, so you don’t have to go back to the doctor! They hold your skin in place, allowing it to heal naturally.

      Speaking of scars, God delivered me of my mental battles/scars. He healed me of what is scientifically irreversible (glaucoma). He loves yall

    I got stitches after hitting my head on a metal bar when I was 9. But they were removed after 5 days and I spent over a month with gauze pads over the wound. And yes, there is a scar

      It remove naturally

    • @simonmarcu01
      @simonmarcu01 14 дней назад

      @@student_RihiSaltdepends on the type of wire used. Usually it's stitched in rings and the wire is easily removed after the wound is closed after about a week and a bit. Otherwise you can use self absorbing wire, wich is broken aparat by the body and you don't need to remove it manually.

    For me, when I get injured, I don't take it to the doctor anymore because even if it's sewn up, it doesn't just turn into a scar

    • @julial4569
      @julial4569 9 дней назад +2

      Actually the scars are much worse when you don't get stitches. I was once too late to get stitches on my leg, and I went to the doctor 2 days after the incident, and he told me it's too late for stitches, because the wound had already started healing itself. I then had a really big red scar on my foot which took around 5 years to start fading.

      @@julial4569 When I have a wound, I just put petroleum jelly on it to heal quickly and antibiotics But what others often use when injured is band aid
