Brilliant content. I stepped back from composing for a few years to practice architecture but I am now retooling again around BBC SO. Your template looks like a gold standard for industry work!
Thank you, and sure! In many cases, they prefer that I don't send reverbs since they want to use their own. However, if they do want reverbs, I usually assign all of them to any unused groups-either globally or individually (there are always far more groups than I use)-and then print the stems normally.
@@colinjames2469 thank you! To figure out the right negative track delay I just write a simple line that's neither too slow nor too fast, engage the metronome and play it back several times as I play around with different negative track delay values until the legato transition/attack aligns perfectly with the click. It's very straightforward, really. In the case of tracks with multiple articulations that would require different negative track delays I'd just find a compromise by setting it according to one of the articulations I'd use the most. I hope that helps, cheers!
Hi there and thank you! I just timed it and it took 8 seconds. Keep in mind though that almost all tracks are disabled and all Kontakt instances are purged so the template itself doesn't take up any RAM or processing power.
I love them! The mids are very flat, and the soundstage is impressive. They're also incredibly light, and since they have flaps instead of a headband, it feels like you're not wearing anything. The highs are a bit rolled off, but that's what I use SoundID for. At the end of the day, though, the most important thing is to "train yourself" to any monitoring system you use so that it becomes your listening standard. Finally, if you have big ears, the pads might rest on them instead of surrounding them. I've heard that's an issue for some people.
Great vid. Must have cost a fair bit, but worth it if it’s your living. I have quite a lot of the same so will investigate further. What are your computer specs incl RAM and disk space?
Thank you! Yeah there are lots of hours put into it, but it saves my bacon on every project. I use a Mac Studio with an M1 Max, 64Gb of RAM and 1TB of storage (which is 90% empty btw, I use external ones for everything). So quite modest specks really.
@@demented001 you mean the libraries? If you make the most of key deals seasons like black Friday you can get them for a fraction of the price, especially if they're old. No idea about how much it'd be, probably around 10k? In terms of storage 8gb, and my specs are in a previous comment! :)
@@alvarorodriguezfilmmusic Surely there must be misunderstanding about the storage... Maybe you mean your template file size is 8gb. How much all the libraries take? I have the giant and its 3.5 GB, and that's probably a smallest library. Albion 1 is listed as 55.7 GB Installed size in their website. Let's assume 10gb average per library, 100 libraries would be a terabyte. Wouldn't be surprised if it's actually over 50 terabytes. U say your 1tb drive is 90% empty.
Sorry, yes you're right. I meant 8Tb not gb. More like 7 really; the drives are not completely full. The template itself, as in the actual file, is about 5gb.
Thanks for sharing. Nice setup. I would love to get my hands on it to increase my own workflow. Would you consider selling it for download by any chance?
Hello, thanks for great video! I have a big question - what is most efficient way to find jobs and clients? I know how to compose, mix, etc - but I have no money from it. How to earn it?
Thank you! It's definitely tricky, but I'd say having a solid online presence is key. This means being active on social media, producing high-quality content, showing your creative process, etc. Then, try reaching out to other creatives within "your category" and offer your services, initially for free. Once you’ve built a portfolio, leverage your free work to secure paid opportunities, and over time, aim for better-paying work. It takes many years, by the way, so it's important to secure your financial stability however you can.

Thank you! I'd say the template is likely one of the simpler types. All the best as you get back to it!
Really like the idea of a folder just for sketching and arranging. Thanks for the template tour!
My pleasure! I find the arranging tracks the easiest and clearest way to get around it :)
Coño mi hermano yo no se lo que tu tiene en esa cabeza pero me dejaste asombrado… wow!
Muchas gracias!
Thanks brother! I'm too tired of playing kontakt multiple ensemble patches in standalone mode and not record anything.
Anytime! :)
Great video!!! Could you explain more about how you send the reverbs to the stems? Thanks

The Midi flags… How do you know which negative delay you should use for which library? great video sir.

Hi, impressive! I am curious to know how much time it takes to load the project. On a pc with studio one this would take a while…

Sure! I use a Mac Studio with an M1 Max and 64Gb of RAM.
How much did it all cost? 100.000$? More? And how much disk space does it take, what kind of system do you need to be able to play it all back live?
